Not enough dead bodies to be a popular piece of news.
How about we applaud when someone makes a stand, puts themselves between us and the bad guy, who do it not out of "glory" but because it is the right thing. Instead it remains just a local story. If this article was shown on the networks as much as the mass killings, maybe more people would get involved when they can.
Thanks for sharing.

I watched this video and the thought that crossed my mind (and I have a very simple mind if you have read my past posts) and that thought is how much has Hollywood perpetuated the use of guns. In fact most of the celebrities in this video are guilty of portraying gun violence. Yet they are saying "enough is enough" Two face dumb-asses. Walk the walk, then I'll listen when you talk the talk.

I voted for Ross Perot in 1992 and 1996.
I voted for Ron Paul (as a write in) this past election.
I thought Ross Perot would get it right and I liked Ron Paul stand for a smaller government.

Do you not realise that yours is the only country where you can get an arsenal without questions being asked. You consider that a right ? Get a life.

I live in the state of Illinois (ILL-Annoy) and in this state you have to have a Firearm Owner Identification card. This card is issued through our State Police Department. Then when I buy a firearm I have to wait 3 business days before I can pick it up.
I do not know what the other states have for procedures, as you do not know either. You make it sound like we can walk into the 7-11 pick up a loaf of bread, some milk and a uzi.

I enjoyed that.
I had hired an ex-marine and I told him that both of my kids were in the Air Force. He told me how he had to go to an Air Force Base to cross-train and how he got extra pay due to the poor housing that was provided for him on base. He told me that the housing at the Air Force that he used was way better than what he had at his Marine Base.

It's been about a couple of weeks.
I got mine fairly quickly a few years ago.

Oh, right. Screw those kids. They're just collateral damage to your paranoid desire to own a gun, right?

As parents and grandparents we are a major influence to our childrens lives. I was raised with gun toys in the 60's. I raised my kids without guns or gun toys in our home, not a conscience decision just a different life affected by the times. Both of my kids entered the military in 1999 and both are now private citizens. I bought my first firearm 3 years ago (another one yesterday 12-30-2012), both of my kids are well armed and neither have any interest in hunting. I was raised in an gun environment and it took 51 years for me to buy my own, my kids were raised in a "gun free zone" and it took them 30 years to own. As a responsible law abiding adult living in a country that allows gun ownership it the right of that adult to purchase and own firearms if they so desire.
Paranoid? I tend to think in my situation prepared is a better word. I will not speak on my kids behalf, but if I had to guess, I would also say prepared.
As far as high capacity magazines for the semi-automatic rifles, I don't get it, my suggestion for those that think they need those is to practice on your marksmanship...one shot, one kill....not spray and pray.

I did.
They are ordering it Wednesday and I'm hoping that when Maverick comes galloping home, my wife will have received her Ill-annoy FOID card.

I have one,and for the price,I'm impressed. Now it ain't much to look at,but I didn't buy it to have it featured in "Wings and Dings". 8-)

I just got back from Bullet Stop and put down a down payment on a maverick 12 ga. They had to order it as they are having a difficult time keeping an inventory of allot of firearms. Looked at some handguns for Inger and it has to be her personal choice. Once she has her class firing the different calibers and clip vs. revolver we will go from there. This will be a fun year, shooting pictures together and shooting handguns with each other.

hey thats good an do you're best. thats all we got. is it from orange.

No I was not in the military, but have met quite a few Viet Nam vets who were exposed to Agent Orange and they ended up with Multiple Myeloma. I have worked/still working in machine shop. One place I worked I was dealing with 2 part paint product. On the label it had warnings about be carcinogenic. In my simple world I didn't know what carcinogenic meant. I had to paint the inside of a large tank, I used an external air supply with mask but I believe the chemical started this journey for me. Hell, I did not even know what an Oncologist was until I got to the oncologist office.
Agent Orange has been linked to myeloma as well with other herbicides that farmers use. Asbestos and those that work in the petroleum industry are also links.

Buddy,if you're on a budget, see if that gun shop has any Maverick shotguns you can look at.

Oh yeah, BuddyLars is always on a budget.
I saw the maverick on Buds Gun shop online. Good Reviews. I would like to buy locally and if they don't have a reasonable 12 ga. I'll buy on-line.
Thanks for the info.
