I like the contrasting shapes of the second one very much! First is way too "monochrome.
Just attended a show and tell talk by and Army "photojournalist"... not many good photos, but she used a newer model Nikon DSLR for about 250-400 pics a day in Iraq. No combat photography was taken by this individual.
If working on photos, a neutral grey desktop will greatly help color adjustments, etc.
If correct, it's a 5MP sensor. Neat camera and lens but a bit too outdated. Perhaps a collector would be more interested. Is the lens an interchangeable lens? That might help the selling price! Good luck with the sale.
Your second item, the Canon mount Auto Sears MC F 2.8-135mm is listed on eBay for $30. The lens does not appear to have any contacts on the rear to allow auto-focus, etc. Let me know if yours is a different lens. I have a Canon EOS D60. Carl Heineck: heineck1375@bellsouth.net
Agreed, no. 3 is great... always look for the unusual subject as you did.
Somebody HAS to have one of Neil's "Brooklyn Roads"!
There is a LIQUIFY filter in PS CS5... might be his technique. Here's a 2 second test of it... flowers and branch.

Don't change a thing!, except for the horizon line... it's sloping a little too much to the lower left.
The 18-55 is a pretty good kit lens, but I traded it for the EF-S 15-85... it's comparable to the "L" lens series in quality and sharpness... and it's a Macro lens. REALLY a great lens for the price, and you'll cover the 20mm gap also.
Don't know if it's available for your Canon SX40, but I have a remote release unit (Canon) for my D60. It wirelessly triggers the shutter release. B&H or Adorama could tell you if it's available for your camera.
Thanks to all! I am redoing the first one to get rid of the halo... looking to get the background pure white, then do a gallery wrap.
I was trying out my new Canon 70-200mm f/4 on my D60 and this fellow wanted to pose. Cloudy day. Flew away when a few fish (dinner) jumped. I did get a halo in the first pic... and another member was correct, it WAS from post processing!
Breathing Color company, found on the web, has several brush, spray, or roll-on products for UV protection as well as matte or gloss finish. They also have gallery wrap systems that really work well and are VERY easy to use... great results.
A Diax IIB 35mm. I was 14 and worked in an art store to pay it off. The beginning of my love for photography. Carl Heineck
