One of the guys I work with is nearing 65 and is being bombarded with Medicare supplement offers. He asked me if I had any advice but I couldnt help as Im not there yet. Anyone have any advice or input theyd like to share that I might be able to help him avoid any pitfalls? Thanks.
I use AARP supplemental Plan F. Cost $185.00 a month, but it picks up the entire 20% that Medicare doesn't. One thing though, if Medicare doesn't pay their portion, AARP won't pay anything. Good Luck.
I signed up for Google Photos and started the backup procedure. After a couple of days, yes two days, I found that only 2,000 out of 23,000 files had been backed up. I started to keep track of the files that were backed up and I noticed that the process stopped for a 12 hour period with no apparent explanation.
My question is: Has anyone attemped to backup their photos into the Google software and if so, have they noticed that the software stops for long periods of time and won't start again. Thanks.
I am backing up my photos to Google Photo even as I type this. The process is very slow, maybe my computer. I have been doing this for 48 hours and its only backed up 2,500 out of 24,000 files. We'll see how long it takes.
According to Greentoe, it does. I will know when the brown truck arrives. The lens I bought from them had the warranty card and I registered it with Canon with no problem.
Mine was Comcast: Fast 29.78 and slow 22.32
Tuesday morning I decided to bite the bullet and see if I could buy a new Canon 5D Mark III from Greentoe. I offered $2,000 for a body only. About 2 hours later, I got an offer for $2,239. That price is $260 less than Amazon or any of the NYC stores. In fact it is $10 cheaper than anything I could find on Ebay. So, I bought it. The seller is a camera store I have used before in NYC (not B&H or Adorama). There is no sales tax or delivery charge. It will be delivered today. This is the second piece of equipment I have purchased from Greentoe. I continue to have excellent experiences and save some money. How can you beat that??

I only have 3 L lenses. Each one has a "clear" filter on it, about $125
Welcome. I have spent several years in Newport courtesy of our US Navy.
I worked for Rickover during the time you were in. Quite an experience!

Getting ready to purchase the new Canon Ti6
Welcome from North Beach, MD.
Any idea why people would do this?[/quote]
I've been using Craigs List for about a decade. Selling camera equipment, my position is I can't buy any new equipment until I sell some old equipment. Anyway, I never answer anyone who wants my email address or phone number. They want you to text them so that they can get your phone number.
I always meet at a Starbucks or McDonalds. I have never had a problem. (yet).
You can tell when someone is serious and who isn't. Good luck. Also, only deal in cash!
You can never go wrong with Lexar!

I have Adobe Elements and no back up. So I'll be getting that next.
The college teacher said to do that. Otherwise we would get duplicates of the files on our computer of those pictures.
I also format my SD card in my camera after I have downloaded the pics. I use Picasa so you can tell exactly what you have downloaded before you remove the SD card. I have a continuous download and regularly backup Picasa on a external HD.
