Hi Jerry, I'm not sure if the tests are the same for the U.S. as they are for the U.K. but I have a reading of 51.94mbps download speed. Does that make sense to you. Cheers.
Noticed this at completion of test.
You just contributed valuable open data that helps Open Internet advocates enforce strong Net Neutrality and ensures you get the speed and access you pay for.
I tested my internet speed with this site and two others and got three completely different answers, so how do I know which one is most correct?
46.32 and 37.7 here.
Ookla shows 3ms ping, 47.1 mbps download and 18.8 mbps upload
We just upgraded to Verizon's Quantum (speed varies by location and how much you want to spend). We were told that we would have at least 50mbps. The first 5 tests were all in the 73 to 78 Mbps range but the last was 7.72 (huge drop-off) - maybe the electrical storm is affecting it.
Thanks Jerry!
I've been using ookla for a while now, I don't know about the absolute accuracy of the speed tests, but it works well for relative speed tests.
Mine usually fall within a couple percent of these numbers.
