You're going to miss out on an opportunity to "take your photography to the next level". (whatever that means)

I've decided to do just that! Now, when I head out to a ball game, or soccer match, I make sure to pack a step ladder. 😈
Movin' on up!

While it is extremely important to follow the directions, the camera is not going to electrocute you or remove your fingers. So pay attention and use care, but don't hyperventilate over this.

Pretty sure the worst case would be failure to update.
And...you just start over. ☺

Luminar is working for me as a stand-alone. Was a little nervous as my iMac just finished its own upgrade. No problems with either one so far.

That's been my experience so far.
Hope I didn't just throw s#&t at the fan by saying that.

Good question. He is having trouble with his current install. Often a fix is to do an uninstall and then a fresh install. I note that if Windows is used, is is wise to reboot the computer before the install. Plus, if you have a register β€œcleaner”, run that too before the fresh install. And yes, 4.3 is an update to 4.2. For the review I read, it should be another welcome advance.

Ahhh - didn't see that he was having a problem. Been there, done that.
They sent a link for the cleaner (don't remember what it was); but, there was one file they said to keep (don't remember that either).
Hope I'm not expected to next time.

I have been using Luminar since it first came out. Never have I had a problem loading or running it.

Tomorrow, Luminar 4.3 should be available to download in North America I understand. Uninstall what you have and then go to the Skylum website and sign into your account and download the latest version on the 16th. Hopefully all will be well. I also use Luminar, Topaz, PS, ON1, and Lightroom.

Isn't 4.3 an update to 4.2?
Why would you "uninstall what you have..."

Welcome to the forum. I think you will get more support from our forum if you let us know what research you have already done. I spent 2 months last year learning Online about today’s camera technologies and capabilities before I started narrowing it down to brands and price levels . Nevertheless, you will get plenty of information here from many different directions. Good luck.
Mark

And, when you've completed all that research, at the end of your quest, ready to take the leap and make the purchase...Sony/Fuji/Canon/Nikon announce their "coming soon" new and improved models. 😈😈😈

For the moment, most Canon printers (probably others also) seem to be out of stock/on backorder. So, take your time, do the research. If you have the space and budget for two, go for it. Using a photo printer for documents is overkill; avoid it if you can.
