Taken by my wife with a Canon PowerShot SD1400 IS. My granddaughter and her 2nd cousin both of whom are now 10 years old. Only processing was a slight crop and darkening. I just thought it was a cute moment in time. I suppose I could do more PP to remove some of the distractions.

Great photo -- wouldn't be muscle beach without the background distractions. Cute kids. Mahalo for sharing.

Headless man in upper left and stray leg; the rest is context/environment?
Without the background, they're in a very large sandbox

Really cute photo.
I wonder if a PP could blur the background like a
lens set to 2.8 etc? Asking because I am new to PP
just got Affinity last week.

That's an interesting idea. I know very little about PP myself, but I believe it can be done. I would also like to get rid of the leg in the foreground, but probably leave the pail since it is a couple of 2 year olds. A good learning project for when I have a bit more time.

I understand, I do want it to show that they're on the beach. I was thinking about the leg in the foreground more so than the people in the background but the headless man can disappear too.
Maybe the uncropped original is better. Just a little tweaking of the exposure and removing the partial person in the foreground.

I like the original very much, it gives the context. The foreground figure can go, though. Adorable kids and interaction between the two, definitely a keeper!

Thank you. I'll pass your compliments to my wife, she was the photographer.

Jimmy please let us know if you find a way, I am just learning PP but I remember seeing about 1000
U-Tube movies & may have seen how to blur'.

One thing for sure if you are new to PP it can make your mind blur.

I downloaded the 2nd photo you posted and brought it into Photoshop. The first version is the result of using the cloning brush; the second from using content aware fill.

I have very little experience with both the processes you used, however they worked well.
The only difference is in the color, the 1st is richer in color yet it looks a little too
much color. Just my perspective view, both look great.

PS: I still think the background would look best blurred. We tend to focus on that part
of the photo that is clear first.

Interesting about the colors. On my screen (late 2013 iMac), I don't see a difference. I brought both photos into Photoshop as layers and then looked at the difference. If the pixels between the two photos are identical, the result is black. Except for the editing in the lower right hand corner, the difference photo is black.

No comprendo.
My monitor is a View Sonic 19" 2017.

Both pics look great I just see a slight color increase in
color depth nothing to worry about.

Now for. Can you blur the background with PS?

What would you use for that process?
