I disagree with the above. The Nikon rep I saw last year told me that he has owned 55 lenses and only one of them needed to be tuned. I attempted to tune all of my lense. Also, the tuning process involves pushing on the lcd which jiggles the camera. Not a great design IMHO when they could have just allowed the rremote shutter release to do the job.

I like my 80-400 just fine and it makes a great complement to my 500PF.

Bob, it is not a leap at all. There are sliders in the Topaz AI programs. Moving them different distances gives different results. To my view your comment is like saying that when you move the shadows slider PS is "making the decision for you" of which pixels to brighten.

It seems that the thesis of Blake Rudis's argument is that moving a slider in e. g. Denoise AI is somehow less individually creative than moving one in Photoshop. Really?

The HDMI may be the best choice here but my understanding is that the BenQ is optimized for a DVI port. I can't explain why.

I use Acronis only for cloning boot disks for safety in case of disaster to a working drive. I have never had a problem with it, especially as I always boot off the clone before putting it in storage. For backup, I use Fastcopy (freeware) and it works great. Among other options, most of which I don't use, it does a differential backup Also I can set it to back up three different large volumes by opening it three times and they will run consecutively.

The BEnQ SW2700 is 2560x1440. I love mine and if you buy form B&H with the Payboo card there is no tax. There is already free shipping.

This is my effort with ACR, Topaz Denoise AI and selective lightening in PS. If it were mine, I would do better on the masking before lightening.

Bring bear spray. I have never used it but it has occasionally been a comfort. Black bears can frequently be scared off by banging two rocks together. Grizzlies reputedly not, but i have never been menaced by one. Tower has a good sized lot and is open enough and fairly dark for night shots. Have a great time.

I love mine. I have had it for a year and a half. If I'm too close, I switch to the 80-400.

My 24-120 works fine on my D850. In addition to his longer tract on Nikon autofocus, Steve Perry has a youTube on steps to fix autofocus problems.

I had a Meike grip for my D850. It worked well for about a year although the D850 would only work with 3rd party (Wasabi) batteries but not Nikon wehn using the grip. The controls then stopped working and I replaced it with a Vello which is still working fine but also only works with the Wasabi batteries.

If you want to continue using full frame, the Nikon D850 with the Nikon 500mm 5.6 PF +/- 1.4 TC has worked fine for me since I switched from Canon for that very reason.
