I am requesting your valued advice before purchasing a new 27 to 32 inch 4k computer monitor for photo editing and general work. I am an avid armature photographer.
I have a new custom built PC with an AMD Ryzen Video Card, AMD 8 core, 16 thread processor, and Asus Tuf Motherboard.
I can afford up to $600.00 for a new monitor to replace my 8 year old Planar 24 inch.
There are many seemingly very good monitors in my price range, but your experience and opinions will be very much appreciated.
I like my MSI monitor. Also some Benq models are highly reguarded.
I have a ViewSonic 4K (VP2768) monitor purchased on Amazon
I have a 27" LG 4K monitor that I purchased a few years ago for about $260. It's perfect for what I do.
I have a Samsung 28" 4K that I paid around $400 for. It may not be what a pro would use, but it's good enough for me.

Check out Benq monitors on B&H.
Thank you all for your advice.
I now feel more comfortable that a moderate priced monitor is more than adequate for most of us.

BenQ makes good ones in that price range. B&H has them.
The SW2700PT 27" 16:9 Photographer IPS Monitor from BenQ features 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space and 100% coverage of the sRGB color space. It’s made for photo editing and image adjustment. $600, but smaller ones are less costly.

It looks like the smaller one is $400 and also 99% of Adobe rgb, other than the size, would you say the color is as good?
I don't think they are 4k monitors, but I don't think that matters much, or do you think so?
4K is great for editing VIDEO. It can be a problem for some photo editing tasks, if software isn’t designed for 4K monitors. A 24” is fine for me... I like that one a lot. The 24” and 27” are very similar.
The BEnQ SW2700 is 2560x1440. I love mine and if you buy form B&H with the Payboo card there is no tax. There is already free shipping.
I've been quite happy with my Dell P2715Q monitor. I've had it for several years and use it as a second monitor with my laptop. I use it in my work as a software builder, personal records, document editing and my photography hobby.
