Janet and I watched this movie last night. From the moment we started watching we couldn't turn it off. Riveting and at times heart-breaking. If you love a good story told well, you'll enjoy this movie, especially since it's told from a dogs eye view with Kevin Costner being the voice of the dog. The dog used in the movie, too, a golden retriever, deserves some kind of Canine Oscar. Race car aficionados will enjoy the race car scenes.

An excellent movie, well done with accolades to the actors and the dog. It is based on a book that is also an exceptional read.

Wife and I love popcorn, We seldom watch a movie without it. An electric hot air popper is our choice of method for making it. Often, after we've added butter and salt, we sprinkle a generous amount of grated parmesan over it.

Years ago my mother had an antique electric, wooden handled metal kettle like, popper with a metal lid and a metal crank/stirring rod with a wooden handle. We would put in some oil, add a handful or so of popping corn, put the lid on and listen for the popping to begin, then turn the crank to keep it from scorching. Once we had enough popped and placed into a large bowl, we melted butter in the popper and one person poured it over the popped corn as another person shook the bowl up and down to mix the corn and butter evenly. We added salt and enjoyed it.

I am looking to buy a camera and I wanted to know three things first of all. What brand would you buy?
Second, what type would you buy i.e. mirror less or DSLR
And finally, would you ever buy a camera that has been refurbished?

Personal preference makes a difference. There are proponents of nearly each and every make, type and size camera available. Personally, I prefer Pentax DSLR and I have purchased used and new cameras. I have not, however, purchased a refurbished. The choices are yours to make.

and don't know if this is a good deal or not. I saw it on Craig's list today. The price seems a little high but that's quite a warranty. What say you?

He (she?) does not look exceptionally happy in the photo. I'd want to know a bit more about the cat's personality.

Do we really have to told that a download does not cost money? "Free Download" is all over the Internet, but it's meaningless. It's often difficult to see what the actual price is - until you download it.

If I understand your post, the download "process" is what is free but the cost of the app or item is what needs to be provided in the advertisement. If that is your point, I agree. So often one must scroll through pages of redundant information to find the cost of something, but the download is free.

I have a Technics SL220 turntable that I've had for probably 30 to 40 years and it still works well. I do not use it very often but it still works for my needs. I have no idea what I paid for it but it was certainly equivalent to the prices of the ones referenced here.

I bought one of those (a Minolta 16) complete with a leather case, when I was in the Navy. Mine had more shutter speeds, can't remember them, but I do recall bulb was included and I think 1/125, 1/60, 1/30, and maybe 1/200 plus. I had the opportunity to sell it to a collector who was putting together a display and was looking for a variety of cameras.

All the hype and disgruntlement about Windows 11 has me contemplating saving up my allowances and buying a Mac when Windows 10 stops being supported.

Could the parents possibly be considered culpable for the death of their son's friend who died in the crash? Very much like the case of the parents of the school shooter who was given a gun by the parents and they disregarded the warning signs of depression or other mental problems. The shooter and his parents have been sentenced to prison terms. It seems that the two cases are similar.

It took only minutes for the conspiracy nuts to get going about the NJ/NY earthquake yesterday. I'm glad I finally experienced an earthquake, though. Every time I was in CA, I hoped that I would feel at least a tremor.

Earthquake is 4.8; eclipse is on 4/8. "It's a conspiracy. The government is up to something! God doesn't like the northeast!"

If you have to wonder why the world is in such a mess, it simple. Human beings are in charge. People are idiots! Look at how worked up people got over a tremor.

I've felt maybe three or four tremors in my 76 years here. I felt nothing here in NW Pennsylvania from this latest NY/NJ episode. The last time I felt a tremor was from a quake in upstate NY about eight or ten years ago. I and several others were in an employee raining session when there was a slight wiggling(?) of the building we were in. One person attributed it to the road workers repaving the street out front of the building. An example of the people to which you referred in the last paragraph of your post.
