Look at the Dell 27" 32 bit color monitor. About $2,500. If you are using a laptop, Just buy something at about $800. Laptops do not have a display card that can show 32 bit. Desk top computer with the new Nvidia Video card.

I had to flatten some silver nitrate cellulose negatives and prints from 1890's. Use two pieces of 1/4 inch glass. You can use a little, repeat LITTLE heat, but be gentle and patient. Takes about 1 month per image.

Squares and fountains, Water front at sunrise, especially if there is fog. Buena Venture cemetery at night. I paid to be locked in at night and got some great shots. Old buildings, The cotton building and the alley. Spent two weeks there in 2000. Shot 40 rolls of film.

I would not give up the darkroom. Some things just do not capture well in digital. Film, especially large format film does more than any digital camera. Besides, film is staging a come back.

I am also building a computer. Fastest motherboard you can find (usually an ASUS gammer board). The fastest Intel I7 chip, and consider liquid cooled system, and greatest amount of RAM you can afford, 64 GB(corsair) of pc 4200 RAM. Fastest Video card you can afford, Nvidia. SSD Seagate or Western Digital Enterprise 1 TB boot drive, and a 4TB data drive. Best power supply you can afford, and largest monitor you can afford, Dell 27" 32 BIT color (about $2,000). You will be into it for a lot, but you will have the fastest and most accurate computer available. And it will be that way for several years.

The one thought you have that is not quite correct. People who have recovered, ARE getting re-infected.

Next time, consider the most sensual parts of a woman's body: Nape of her neck, small of her back, side lit torso of her back.

If you are going to get an Epson 700 or 800 series check Aztec.com's website. They make accessories , fluids and negative cleaners to give you drum scan results. They also provide great free advice.

Also go to your local glass shop and buy an 8x10 "optically clear"piece of plate glass to cover the negative while it is being scanned. Scan at maximum resolution.

Put a watermark on any digital proof you show someone, and make them small enough that they would be relatively useless.. Have a written contract that specifies who owns the images.

I have one of those chips. They work, but you have to be very careful or you will have an ink mess. I would not recommend it.

I received a pretty nice telescope this year for Christmas. Of course my first thought was how can I take photos with this piece ofntechnoligy. I contated Meade and asked if the made or sold a camera mount and they didn't. I did some digging on line and found a T mount that required a camera specific mount to be able to mount the camera to. My question is has anyone done this? If so is it worth the time and effort to buy some more toys. I know thought'm not going to get Hubble quality photos. However I would like to be able to hang a couple on the wall. Ok here's some info you may need to give me an honest answer. I'm shooting with a Cannon 7D, the telescope is a Meade 127, it's a 5" reflector. The T mount and Cannon adapter are both sold by BH. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated .

I have a Meade telescope and a Canon camera. The camera adapter makes the telescope function like a giant lens. Focusing is acomplished by switching the camera to live focusing mode and looking through the camera to focus and using the telescope like a manual telephoto lens.Takes a little getting used to. Meade makes the adapter. There is a book that provides step by step instructions on astrophotography.
