My sister is looking for a new phone and has asked for my advice, so I am turning to my fellow hedgehoggers.

She likes using her phone as her camera, so camera quality is going to me her main criteria. She is only considering iPhones.

The iPhone 11 Pro is $400 more than the iPhone 11. It looks like the only difference in the camera is the Pro has an addition zoom lens. Is it worth the extra $400?

I never noticed a problem with the link. I read UHH from an iPad, maybe that makes a difference.

Here’s a tip from a recent experience. I was taking pictures at a graduation. I wanted to capture the perfect pose as the graduate was walking down the aisle, so I had my camera set to Continuous High shooting. At that setting, the buffer on the D750 fills up after 12 pictures when shooting in RAW. After about 2 seconds, I was standing there waiting for the buffer to empty. I realized that shooting in Continuous Low at 3 or even 2 pictures per second would have been adequate, and I could have shot much longer before the buffer filled up.

Nikon cameras (at least the two that I,vet owned) use a circular list for displaying pictures. So when you are at the last picture and move to the next one, the first picture is displayed. When looking and the first picture and you move to the previous picture, the last picture is displayed.

First, make sure you have a good backup - both of your Lightroom library, and your actual photo files.

In Lightroom Classic, select all of your Collections. You can do this by clicking on the first collection, the hold the shift key and click on the last collection.

Make sure you are in Grid view (this may not be absolutely necessary, but I prefer it). Select all of the pictures (<Ctrl>A for Windows or <Command>A ion the Mac s one method).

Set an attribute that will be unique to these pictures. Maybe a star rating, or a color, or maybe just a keyword.

Go back to Folders and select the top folder.

Search for pictures that don’t meet the attribute you set and delete them.

You thought hoggers would agree on their answer?

If you want the aspect ratio in whole number use the attached excel file that I just created. For example if you want an 8x10 to show as 5:4.

Thanks! I wanted to create such a spreadsheet, but I couldn't figure out the math.

Does SyncBack allow you to revert back to prior versions of files? I suspect it is saving multiple versions of files so you can revert.

Did you pass the class? I took a photography class in college....totally unrelated to my major, just for fun. If I'd have had to be up at sunrise I would have dropped the class.

I also took the class just for fun - and I passed. I recently ran across some of the picture I took. My instructor was right - they are too dark.

On an unrelated note, my original reply contains some gibberish - whole clauses that I am sure I did not type in.

Take pictures at sunset. Isn't that the same thing? That way no getting out of bed early.

Unfortunately, the direction I want to take the picture, the sun will only be visible in the picture at sunrise.

Your reply reminds me of an incident in college. I took a photography class and the assignment was to take a picture at sunrise. I didn't want to get up that early, so I figured I'd take a picture at sunset, he won't know the difference. Where are you? I handed in the assignment, the instructor said "nice picture. But the assignment was to that a picture at sunrise." I don't know how he knew. Especially since the picture was a black and white.

There is a scene near my house that I want to take a picture of at sunrise. Why does the sun have to rise in the morning? Afternoon would be much better.

This is a fun thread.

Capture One Pro is $300, or two and a half years of the Adobe subscription. The $300 includes free SERVICE releases. Does that include upgrades? It doesn't look like it because Capture One Pro offers a subscription plan that includes future RELEASES. Their subscription plan is $180 a year which works out to $15 per month. Adobe's photography plan is $10 per month. I don't like the idea of a subscription plan, but I haven't found a better alternative.

Should be an exciting series. Babe Ruth pitched in the last Dodgers/Red Sox World Series (1916).

I use an Apple card reader with a 32 Gb card and it works fine. Sometimes it takes a long time for the pictures to appear on the iPad. Maybe with a 64 Gb card the pictures take even longer to appear.
