Free fall speed is 54 miles a second. If the tower fell for 8 seconds at free fall speed, it would have to have been 432 miles high. This is basic physics, which you are claiming that nobody but yourself understands.

Correction:

Starting at rest, a body in free fall would travel 1024 feet (approximately) in 8 seconds (distance = .5 times 32 feet X number of seconds squared) due to gravity. The falling top portions of the towers would have been initially at rest, and there would be resistance from the structure below, so "free fall" is something of an exaggeration.

Amazing how nobody involved in these massive, half-century old conspiracies got pissed off or drunk enough to squeal.

What discipline! What devotion!

What a pile of crap.

Nice, but there is one problem: the shadows don't match the moon as a light source.

From what I understand about the fall of the towers, the heat from the explosion of the planes at each point from planes fully loaded with fuel caused enough heat to weaken the supporting steel at those levels. Not able to support the floors above, they all pancaked down floor upon floor until each entire building had collapsed. As the floors above crashed down on each successive floor, each floor did not have the tensile strength to hold up the entire weight of the building above, causing the pancake effect. It is my understanding, now, that steel going into new buildings will be able to handle heat of much higher temperature without buckling as a result of 9/11.
From what I understand about the fall of the tower... (show quote)

It's not the weight, the buildings were designed to support the weight. It was the momentum caused by FALLING weight. Force = Mass (weight) X Acceleration, which is 32 feet per second per second.

Trying to weasel out of what you said, Mensa-mouth?
I doubt if anyone other than the rat pack will buy your analysis of what you said. Now you compound your insult with another.

If you're so smart why don't you explain this?

Oh, for crying out loud, dummy! You can''t see any flames because A) there's clouds of dust from the collapsing building and b) the flames were probably extinguished by the clouds of dust and debris, which would, like, deprive any flames of oxygen. That would be high school physics.

Nagy: Your speculation about what Alan Dershowitz would do is rather flawed. Dershowitz is not about freedom of speech, but about using group dynamics to prevent free speech from questioning any aspect of Zionism. He used it to block the professorship of Norman Finkelstein at DePaul University.

RMM: So be it. Let him find a public place for it. This is not a public place.

Nagy: General Chit Chat is the proper forum for heated battles over budget, war and peace, tax structure, healthcare, but somehow Zionism is untouchable? Why is it different?

RMM: If UHH stands for this kind of nonsense, then larrypayne can stay. I'll find another site.

Come Monday, one of us will be gone from here.

Nagy: You appear to be alluding to connections with a veiled threat. UHH does not stand for anything that its members discuss on General Chit Chat. You are repeating the cowardly behavior of Alan Dershowitz, whom Finkelstein exposed as a fraud and a plagiarist. Has Larry done the same to you?
RMM: "larrypayne has a right to his misguided... (show quote)

Nagy: Blah, blah, blah.

RMM: You're full of it.

larrypayne does not belong on UHH. This is primarily a photography website. He isn't here because he's interested in photography, he's here with his tin hat and his conspiracy theories and his insults.

Admin suspended him when he should have kicked his ass out of here. He's thrown out others for far less reason.

Heirloom Tomato passed this past weekend. She had only created 298 topics and had 11,422 posts. She was a sweet woman who cared about her fellow hogs.

How about starting afresh; maybe tomorrow? Finding something positive to write about; and see what the responses take ya.

Nobody hating anybody; nobody apologizing. Never know......

Very sorry to hear about Heirloom Tomato.

I feel kind of stupid for not thinking of that before. I hope your granddaughter is enjoying the camera. Do you have another now?

I hope all is well with you.

Sort of a delayed reaction, but does your camera have a timer? Most do, so you can set up your shot, hit the shutter and after a 2- or 10-second delay, the shot will be taken.

Great challenge so far Pat. The B&W conversions can be have a big impact on how the image seems to "change".
Here are a few more. It amazes me that floral images have more detail being brought out in B&W.

Very nice.

I am jealous of your velvet water. Like the color in this series - not sure why unless it's the subtle, soft color matching the soft velvet water.

1/2 second exposure at f/20 with 18-55mm lens zoomed to 55mm. I was resting my arms on a wooden bridge.

I chose the wrong picture to get feedback on. Thanks RMM. Now with the correct picture can you give me some tips?

Clearly, you have a thing about this tree. Even so, you need to get closer and choose an angle that has less distracting background. Also, fool around with aperture, try to keep the tree in focus and get a blurrier background.
