Goodby Windows XP, converted one pc to windows 8.1 and the other to Kumbuntu ( the other three are all on windows 7). Klicker2014, thanks for all the encouragements given to us all and have a safe trip to Canada.

Clicker before you go, I use Aviary and Pixlr Express from the Google play store. Apps for mobile. Safe journeys and of course, take lots of Snap Shotz!

Thanks Rudolf. Let us know how you do with windows 8! Still looks scary to me! I think the only thing I will have going for me is that the only thing I have to worry about hooking up to it is a printer and I will probably buy one I know is compatible! Good luck!

Both mine are running XP, would be interested to hear your opinions before I upgrade

Windows 8.1 is still a little difficult to get around. I recommend it, but I still run to you tube when stuck. KUMBUNTU is more intuitive, does not run windows software, and I will use it on my little notebook computer for skype an web surfing.

Thanks Hoku... my problem is I have an antique flip open cell phone. I still have to go through the alphabet to type a text! LOL! No apps...and I don't have a clue how to use them! LOL! If it were up to my hubby we would move into the 21st century...but I was born cheap ..much to his dismay! LOL! But I do appreciate your taking the time to let me know!

If you are running XP be careful as Microsoft does not have an upgrade program to do that. You would have to have a tech remove XP and install 8.1. If you are on Windows 7 is to stay with it until you get a new computer. This is the recommendation from my local computer shop as well as an ex Microsoft Windows employee. I do now have 8.1 on both the laptop and my desktop and while it has taken some getting used to, I am beginning to like it.

Both abstracts came came from the sunset below. It appeared after many layers and Topaz and SME.
