I'm not sure if this is still the case. In France I believe the tip is included in the final bill (service compris) in restaurants. Only tip, if you wish, another 5%-10% if service was exceptional or special accommodations were made. In this case round the bill up to the nearest whole amount and tip 5%-10% in appreciation. I'm not sure about other countries.

You might try contacting The Strand bookstore in New York City. They have 18 miles of books and have an excellent reputation.

St. Johns Episcopal Church in Youngstown NY. The church was prefabricated somewhere in the Northeast in the mid to late 19th century and transported to Youngstown NY for assembly. Carpenter's chalk marks can still be seen on the interior beams. More information can be found on the church's webpage. Google St. John's Episcopal Church in Youngstown NY (not posting the link to avoid getting bounced to links section).

Nikon is not exclusively cameras and lenses. We forget it also makes many imaging and other products for health, medicine, research and industry. A list can be found here at the following link. I was surprised at some of the products.

I imagine Canon also has other product lines besides cameras, lenses and printers.

Consider possibly using SmugMug. Owned by same people as Flickr but quite different.

I had that problem a couple months ago, and it turned out that I had interrupted an update being installed. It took a day and a half but I was finally able to restart it. It to is an HP Envy. Hope this helps.

It may have been something similar. I left it as it was and went out for dinner. A few hours later I found it had sorted itself out. Works fine now. Thanks to all who replied. YNY.

New HP Envy 17 laptop. Was using it and went to shut it off. Screen went black but power button stays lit. Holding power button down does not do anything. Unable to restart. Screen stays black. Tried plugging charger in to see if that did anything. Nope. Google search suggesting removal of battery not helpful. I cannot find an accessible battery compartment. I am going to let the battery run down and see if a restart works when plugged in. Has anyone encountered this or know why it happens? Could it be in the process of updating? I will go back to vendor and have it looked at but I was wondering if this was a known issue or if it was preventable. Thanks, YNY.

My wife has received an HP Windows 10 17" laptop. Is a Microsoft Outlook account / e-mail mandatory? We have G-mail. Do I have to set it up with facial recognition or fingerprint ID to log in? She would much prefer password only. Much less subjective. Nothing financial or sensitive would be on it. Just recipes, music etc. Also, must One Drive be activated? I would prefer to back up to external hard drive for her. Google searches keep dodging the issue when I search. Can someone help or point me to the right spot? Thanks, YNY.
