"the professional tech" at the store may or may not have done sensor cleanings before. It isn't hard.

And yes, they are sold it two sizes that I've seen; FX and DX. For the D500, I clean mine as needed with the DX sized swab.

Have you tried saving it as a compressed PDF? I'm guessing you have a lot of large images in it. Depending on your PDF creator, you may be able to save it for the intended device. Print will look best at 300dpi, but if you are having people read it on a tablet, you can do much lower and have a smaller size.

Fantastic shot. I've spent a little time trying to get picture of these guys, they always make it hard.

Great composition and clean background too. Well done.

If you need to cash in on the insurance, make sure you have never sold an image or that your don't have an online site that looks like you might be able to sell. Any of the "home policy" shops will look for a way to call you commercial and not cover. This is a common topic that comes up with photo insurance.

There are "commercial" options like Hill and Usher's PackageChoice which is nice.

These are great. I like shooting them too. When I'm in the yard, they fly right up to me, but when I grab the camera, the completely disappear. Great job getting so many.

I really like the clean backgrounds too.

It is common to blame various custom support services when they can't fix a problem then end user created.

Reality is most any will work these days. You will need drive storage space for images and video. To make it run will, CPU then memory are important.
I use both apple and windows based products. With Apple, you pay more for everything, but it does tie into their echo system with iPhone etc.
5 years ago, I'd say apple is hands down better, but now I'm seeing my Windows machine being much more stable. Our IT at work has a lot of problems with the 2019 MBP, so if you go Apple, get one of the newer M1 devices. Dell is making solid Windows devices. Microsoft has their dual touch screen tablet surface pros. That is a really nice way to edit.

End of the day, the software you use on them will be basically the same.

I borrowed the 200-500 for a few days. It is nice. In daylight, I got some good shots with it.

I shoot a lot of lower light and found that my 2.8 primes are better for me. They cost a lot more too.

So, my summary of the 200-500 is that if you can deal with 1/2 to 1/4 of the light (F 5.6 vs 2.8/4) that it is a nice lens. I spend 90% of my time with it at 500mm. AF speed on the 200-500 was slower than the primes, but when I added the 2x TC, the AF speed was close. If I didn't need 2.8, I'd look closer at buying the lens for longer reach.

How many inches? From there, it is math. 2 inches -> 600 Pixels.

That said, pixels per inch only really applies to print. Or, from a consistency perspective since the physical printer will drive that value and you can calculate the size.

For screens... this completely depends on the screen. Each screen can have a different pixel density and the user of the screen can also set their own resolution. So, for your web page, the designer may already know the sizes the images need to be.

Dr. Bob,

What are you thinking of as low light? Also curious about what you will be shooting. There are a few challenges cameras have in low light. Noise, color depth and the ability to focus are just a few. I find the color depth/dynamic range can be a problem in some scenarios and not others. The ability to grab focus in low light can make a big difference in action. Some indoor low light scenarios have flickering lights.

So all that said, maybe your desired style of usage will help drive things.

Photo Mechanic is the best if you need special tagging, like player numbers for a wire service. If I don't need special tagging per image, I cull in Adobe Bridge because it is free.

With both, you flag the candidates, select all of the flagged candidates and drag into LR and it will only import the ones you have flagged.

Both use the embedded jpeg and are very fast.

This gets asked a lot and I ended up making a video for a friend. About 5 minutes and shows how I do it in Bridge + Lightroom Classic.
