Great shots, had to be a special experience. There is a lot of history in Rome. Share some more outside and inside shots if you would.

So, here are some of the samples of that, truly impressive event.

I began to experience delays from the B&H warehouse about a year ago. This shipping expediency issue was exacerbated also about a year ago by changing my deliveries to FedEx from UPS (who was great). Recently an order placed at 11AM on 11/23, Black Friday resulted in my receiving an order confirmation at 11:05 AM but no shipping confirmation that day. I accepted that is was Black Friday.
No shipping confirmation or tracking information came Saturday (I know the Sabbath), nor Sunday (the day I always received an email in the past since the warehouse previously would get orders ready for shipping for Monday), nor Monday. Tuesday no email but I looked into my account order status and saw that my order was split into 3 shipments and one was delivered the previous night. I looked and there sat a curled cardboard box outside my door, unprotected, soaked from almost an inch of rain. It had rained the previous day and into the night so when FedEx left the package it was raining. On 11/27 I complained to B&H customer service about not receiving any shipping/tracking information, my order sitting in the warehouse for days when the whole order could have come expedited delivery, an electronic package delivered in the rain by FedEx, FedEx not picking up or delivering orders timely when shipping says expedited delivery. As of today, 11 days later, B&H customer service has not contacted me about the wet electronic devices.
This is my worst example, and it is the holidays but warehouse delays have been happening during this past year with other orders. FedEx is just out to lunch. There delivery success rate is less than 50%.

I've noticed a dramatic decrease in shipping expedience from B&H with several recent purchases. This dates to before the holidays and is not related to them. I've been buying from B&H for years. Up to about 6 months ago, items in stock and eligible for expedited shipping came the next day to my DC suburb home. Over the last six months, shipping under the same circumstances started taking up to a week. Most recent example is my order for 2 items in stock eligible for expedited delivery and order confirmed November 26. One item arrived 11/30 after shipment information was sent to Fedex 11/28. Shipment information for the other item from my confirmed 11/26 order was only sent to Fedex 12/3 and arrived 12/5. So the delays seem to be at B&H and not the shipper. I am wondering what is the cause behind this marked delay in shipments at B&H and is this going to be a common occurrence?

I have the Peak Design SL-BK-3 Slide Camera Strap and I'm very happy I chose this strap. It is about $65 but there are sales at this time of year so you could pay in the mid $50 range. It is the larger of Peak Designs' straps and I like it much better than their thinner, less expensive strap. Good strap for a full frame and medium telephoto lens. Add the 100-400 L lens and it does get heavy on your neck after a while but I think only a harness strap would work in this example. Happy shopping.

I have recently purchased a canon 6D mark ii and a couple of smaller L series lenses. A pretty big upgrade for me coming from a T3. I was thinking about buying the 5D mark iv however I decided to spend some of the money on good glass also. One thing I didn't thing about was a camera strap since I was always just using my kit stap that came with the camera. I live in the pacific northwest and spend most of my time in the mountians shooting landscape and wildlife when seen. As of now the largest lens that I have is a Tamron 28-300 but am looking at purchasing the Tamron 150-600mm in the next two months. Most locations I have to hike into so typically everything is carried into my Lowepro pack however I have missed some really great shots due to the fact camera isn't ready. I am looking for a system that is comfortable and can be easily ready to shot with in a moments notice. It must be able to support heavy lenses. Basically im no pro but I don't want what I have spent my hard earned money on hitting the ground. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate them.

I have the T5 and have been very pleased with Canon's Rebel line. The T7 is the newest version so depending on your budget you could consider the T7 since it is newer technology. The i versions (T6i or T7i) are also a step up from the T6 or T7. The holiday sales are definitely going to give you good opportunities for lower prices. Watch B&H and Canon for their specials. Canon will probably have camera body and 2 lens kits offered around $449. Also consider refurbished directly from Canon. You receive a 1 year warranty with a Canon refurbished product and the prices are lower than new equipment. B&H will mimic new camera offers and is a good company to buy from. Call their support staff on the T6. QVC also sells the Canon Rebel line with 2 lenses included for usually $449. If you stay focused on the T6 I see you being happy with your purchase; Canon makes good equipment.

Hi.

What does everyone here think of the Canon T6 EOS Rebel DSLR?

In all likelihood, it will be my next camera (first "real" DSLR), but I would still like opinions from folks who have used it: likes, dislikes, pros, cons, reliability, etc.

Thanks!

All images are very good. In #4 you really captured the colors. Great job.

A few shots from Central Park, all of which were taken this week. As you can tell, fall color is starting for some, but not all, trees. In any event, I like the four photos included here and am interested in hearing what others think. Thanks for looking.

Log into YouTube and search for Rudy Winston and B&H Photo. Rudy is a technical advisor for Canon and extremely knowledgeable. He has 3 videos on Canon lenses from which you will learn a lot. I find he does not push the L series lenses although they are the top of the line, and doesn't push for the fast lenses often referring to a f/4 lens as amazing, good quality and a good value. From a source like Rudy you will become educated as you will with replies from forums such as UHH. Good luck.

Hi all, I did a search on this site, however did not find what I was looking for, so I apologize in advance for bring up a subject that may or may not have been discussed here before.
I am still in the learning stage of photography and just would like to know the advantage of upgrading from what I have to what lense I should invest in as I get better in time.
My gear:
Canon T4i, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 IF, Canon 50 mm 1.8 II, Canon 55-250mm 4-5.6 IS.
The 55-250 is the one I would like upgrade. I shoot most anything while still learning the exposure triangle. I just feel the 55-250 although renders a good photo I would like a little better sharpness in a lens.
Maybe I am all wet here, however I need to know from the experts here. Thank so very much in advance for you thoughts.

I have not done this technique yet but it is on a to do list.
I think the images came out very well. Like #2 best; being full frame adds to overall appeal. Definitely abstract and an example of nature creating its own patterns. Good job.

I attempted yesterday to shoot soap bubbles. Some success, but I think what I really need is more light. I shot everything at f/32 for the greatest depth of field, but focusing was somewhat difficult due to the fact that the surface of the bubble is sometimes absolutely transparent, but not in the pictures depending on where the light source was. Not sure why the top edge of the bubble has multiple rings or edges, but I do like the colors that it captured. Also, I tried a few times to fire the flash multiple times, but the colors on the surface were constantly changing, swirling, etc., so one flash is about all I can get and still have a good image of what the colors are doing.

Your opinions and if you have tried this before, some advice.

It's been a busy year, and I've not had any time to even pick up my camera for months. When fall color season comes, my wife and I set aside some time to enjoy the color. On Tuesday we drove up along lake Michigan to Ludington. While there wasn't much color by us, it's really popping farther up. Here is a couple shots from our tour. One of Little Point Sable Lighthouse, and one on a back road nearby

Try newengland.com and go to the foliage section for different options. A Ct. public broadcasting station for the past 3 nights focused on New Hampshire showing the White Mountains. The colors looked great (on TV) but their season has to be finished soon. Maps are showing lower Mass and Ct about to hit peak. My part of Ct has only had 2 frost nights, with 29 degrees the lowest. A cold wave, low 30's and upper 20's at night is forecast for next week. If a trip is easy enough for you then do it. Slowly driving the roads up here is a pleasure and relaxing. The north eastern corner of Ct. is always written up as a place to go, see and drive through (scenic drives). Kent Ct. is also touted plus it is a very nice town to walk through, browse shops and has numerous restaurants. Color is around, good not spectacular but better than last year. Good luck.

The foliage has all but changed here in California/Nevada area, I am considering going to the East Coast, New England and or south/ mid Atlantic area. For the changing of their foliage leaf colors etc. Does anyone who ACTULLY LIVES in Any of these areas know if this is a good time to go, I can go anytime in the next two weeks or so. Or any other suggestions ideas or places to go for the viewing of such things.
