I got my first film SLR in 1979. I got my first digital in 2012. I've learned more in the last 8 years in digital than in 33 years of film. Why you say? 1. You can immediately see bad exposures, then make the changes necessary to fix them rather than waiting days for your film to come back. 2. You can take 10s of thousands of pictures for free once you have the camera and computer. With the cost of film and processing I could only take a small fraction of the pics I take with digital. Practice makes perfect and you can practice more on digital.

Ok, I got a update from my wife. It isn't Z7II related, the pics were taken on her D850. She can load them into LR fine, but Finder doesn't see the drive, although when she unplugs it she gets the error saying it wasn't properly ejected. It is two different card readers, a Sony MRW-G1 and a generic reader. Thanks.

My wife just got a Z7II and isn't able to read QXD cards in the Sony reader I got her. Anyone have this problem? Or any ideas? Thanks.

I would desaturate the bird bath a little, otherwise I think it is ok. I don't have an issue using public domain skies in my work, but I when I see a nice sky I take some pics of just it and keep them in a folder so when I want to change the sky I have my own pics to choose from. Still sometimes I don't have one that works and use a pack of sky pics I purchased in those cases. I have on occasion done mixed B&W and color, but I think it is a little cliched at this point so I don't do it often. Sometimes it works well. I have a picture of someone with a red umbrella walking in front of me, and it was a big umbrella so it became the main
subject of the pic. I desaturated all of the other colors and it worked well.

I bought my D750 factory refurbished in 2017 and it has been great. Had it refurbished a second time after I took a fall and it was damaged. The second time was like new when I got it back.

Sorry I'm late to the game, but it might help someone else in the future. MeFOTO works great. In the pic is a D7200 with 1.4x and 300mm PF, basically the equivalent of your setup. works great, solid.

My wife is a fantastic photographer. Her bag has a Nikon D850, 24-120mm, 16-35mm and 200-500mm.

You still have the choice to do it yourself, they just give you the AI option. Not sure why that is a problem.

I can't speak for the RX10 IV, but I've had an RX10 III for a number of years and it takes great pics. The IV should be even better.

I'll be using my Nikons for many years, I don't care what other people do. If you need to buy a camera to be like everyone else you may want to reevaluate your life....

I also use Sony, and sometimes Canon, Ricoh and an old Pentax Spotmatic, but the ONLY thing that matters is how the pictures come out. Period.
