How about a replica plate?

Thank you!! Great suggestion. I’m still trying to find out if our BMV will validate a replica plate for full legal street use.

I’ll reach out on a couple of my Indiana facebook groups to see if anyone might have one to offer. Are you willing to pay if I can find one available? Let me know by private message.

Thank you! You are very kind and helpful as I expected you would be. Yes, I am willing to pay for an authentic one.

I am incredibly lucky. Since my days in High School in the 1940s I have wanted a nice Model A Ford. For the most recent Christmas my son got me this one. It is a beauty. The Indiana BMV will validate an authentic 1930 plate for current use if I can find one. For that I am seeking your help. Google hasn’t been sufficiently friendly. I have searched Ebay and Etsy and I have registered my request with a business that calls itself a “license plate concierge”. So far no find.

Photo taken at Willow Park in Louisville Kentucky on 23 May 2021 with my iphone 7 plus. Their singing was in surround sound, there were hundreds of exoskeletons and emerging critters on the trees and you had to watch your step when walking across grassy areas. It was an interesting experience.

Had second dose of Moderna Sunday. No problems at all - not even a sneeze.

FYI. Today I called a supplier of birding supplies to check on an order placed on 7 December through Amazon and to be shipped via USPS. Previous orders have arrived within a few days. Entered tracking number at USPS and display showed that number was created but package not received at post office. Called supplier and they said package was delivered to post office.
Problem is that the post office is so overwhelmed that they are not scanning packages in - so tracking is not functioning.
They further told me that their post office is just now processing packages turned in during the last week of November.
USPS is hurting.

Yes, smartphone cameras are producing very good results, even though most users aren't real photographers - like us. I seldom use mine for pictures because I don't like the format - how I have to hold it, keeping my fingers away from the lens, zooming, activating the shutter, etc. When I do use it, I'm always impressed by the results. All the pictures I take with it go directly online to Google Photos.

At 84, and having some neuropathy, I have difficulty holding the phone in camera position while trying to keep my fingers from blocking the lens and then fire the shutter without movement. And without dropping the darn thing!
Here is my solution, using the phone clamp from an Apple Gorrilla Pod Pro and a Barska pistol grip from B&H. The two parts screw together easily and provide a strong solid grip that is easy to maneuver. Not unreasonably bulky. Phone is iPhone 7+ in leather case.

BTW. Love this forum and all of you who post helpful info.

[quote=jgitomer]RAID is great -- so long as you don't have an earthquake, fire, flood, theft, etc.
The only safe backup is an off-site backup! I repeat the only safe backup is an off-site backup!

I agree that off-site backup is important. It is also part of my backup strategy, but only as one part of it. To me redundancy is worth the effort.

I believe that RAID 0 configures both drives to make one large one. RAID 1 configures the drives to create two identical ones. Just went thru this with a new G-Technology dual drive unit.

Ouch!!! Glad you are OK. Hope you jump back in. Got my SEL in 1974. On my first attempts at landing the instructor wrote in my logbook "today we practiced controlled crashes". He also liked to say "please don't bend THIS airplane". Thanks for sharing your experience.

Amazing!! Thanks for posting this. I especially like shifting from present to past so that the present has an overlay of the ghosts of the past, or in reverse, the wartime pictures show the promise of a colorful future. I remember WW2 so these moved me deeply. Great technology.

Color. The greenish color, even though subtle, creates a lot of depth for me and the yellow differentiates the beak nicely from the background vegetation.
All of this makes the bird stand out much better, IMO.
Nice picture!!

Hello. I am 83 ,was treated to an Honor Flight last April and my son was along as "guardian". It was an amazing experience. Nothing quite compares to visiting the National Mall, the memorials and Arlington with a group of veterans. It will be a busy day including a lot of loading and unloading from the busses so it can get awkward carrying extra gear. I got a lot of good pictures with my iPhone and, as a nice touch we were all given disposable cameras. Those pictures turned out very well and the disposable was easily carried and operated. I would be happy to discuss this with you if you would like. Hope your trip is the best!
