Wow! Good question, they are both good. The color one has just enough lack of color to make it hard to decide. I think I like the color better. If the B&W had more contrast it might be the easy winner.

In the B&W the beak fades into the background while it stands out in the color.

Being totally colorblind, I actually see no difference. So, Black and White for me:)

I prefer the BW version, although I would consider some adjustments. I feel that there is not enough color range in Number one to make it preferable to the BW version.

I would add some contrast overall, darken the background a little and make the white of the bird pop.

A good image no matter what you decide.

I prefer the color version because my eye is immediately drawn to the bill while in the black and white my eye wanders around for a bit before being drawn to the bird.

My vote is for color. There is very little color in the background anyway and the color version really helps define the bird.

Like the color. More contrast or adding some shadow(In post edit) would make the black & white more interesting. Just a thought, keep up the good work.
