Very interesting....Thank you!!
We had one. We never know how many we will get from year to year. Always buy the candy we like.
I live in Vermont and the foliage is past peak here. I would recommend that if you are considering coming to the Northeast, generally, the best times are the first two weeks in October. Some years the foliage is a week or so earlier or later; it really depends on a variety of factors: temperature, rain, wind, etc. The northeast states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine have diverse topographies, and the maturity of the foliage will vary depending on the mountains, valleys, waterfront, etc.
I totally agree. I received my first camera in the mid-60's. Shot manual back then...primarily B&W. I also was the high school newspaper photographer. I had my own darkroom set-up in our kitchen at night. After High School, and working my way through college, I worked in a hospital and was able to have access to research darkroom working alongside a very special person who taught me about darkroom techniques. Learning the fundamentals about all of the key variables that go into taking a photo makes a very versatile photographer.
I use a sling strap attached to the tripod socket on my D810. Been all over the world, never a problem. Maybe the question should be: Has anyone ever had a sling strap that was attached to the "tripod socket" damage or pull loose the tripod socket?
Edinburgh is a lovely city. Nice photos of the castle.
It is a great travel lens on my D810. Some will criticise it for not being a sharp lens, but it works fine for my needs as I do not plan on printing my photos in large formats.
Hi from a fellow Vermonter.
I would also recommend Lightroom/Photoshop subscription. It took me a while to use it with the help of some online (YouTube) videos by Anthony Morganti.
Soon the water temperature will be 98.5 degrees.
Welcome Ray...I use to live in Elk Grove in the 80's and 90's.
I guess it really depends on the subject matter is that you are shooting. I do a lot of travel and landscape photography and depth of field is always on my mind, so when shooting, aperture priority is my main focus (no pun intended).
The technical part of photography can be learned and some of the basic composition/lighting/exposure and post production techniques are also to be learned. However, it's the "eye" for seeing what others don't see (the beauty, drama, visual pun, irony, etc.) and the perspective one has for the creative image that is the gift.
I use the 28-300 Nikon lens on my D810, A bit heavy but I find that I carry it around all day using a sling strap.
I have traveled extensively over the past 6 years. I am 71, in good shape and use the Black Rapid sling strap to carry my full frame Nikon with my 28-300mm walk around lens. It is a relatively heavy combo, and I can walk all day with this set up. I like the sling strap because it does not put pressure aroung my neck and distributes the weight in such a way that I do not feel any discomfort.
