It depends on the type of clients you're looking for. For weddings, The Knot is king. There are some other free/commission options like Gigmasters, and Gigsalad. One of the best thing you can do for your local area clients is setup a Yelp profile, and garner a good review or two. It takes some time, but this is probably the single best thing to do for locals.

If you manage your photos with a tool like Lightroom, and shoot hundreds as I do, I just use the inbuilt keywords, and other organization tools. Much faster. There are cases when I deal with the files directly. I then do a serialized date and a keyword or two. For example" 201802-21-galveston

The Benro heads are great. I have an S2 that I use with a GH5, but you might need the S4 if you're using a full size DLSR.

The first question would be is iPad Pro in the mix? If I had the budget, I'd buy the 12.9" maxed out. Otherwise, I'd go the 11" Pro with as much storage as I could afford. The only other choice would be whether you need the data capability or not.

Manfrotto and Benro make some nice monopods. The Manfrotto X Pro is a good one. One thing's for sure, I never buy another without a foot support.

I choose spot metering the majority of the time, and make the choice where to take the measurement. Much more predictable results in IMHO.

Pillarboxed vertical video makes me nuts too. Even worse when a blurred and enlarged copy of the video is use to fill the pillarboxes. There are some video apps like Facetime where it's normal to hold the phone vertical. If you intend to share your video online, turn your phone sideways before starting the recording.

A Youtube video on the subject:

I agree completely. It's not about the camera, but how it is used. I've encountered so many people that thing buying the latest hot camera will make them a great photographer. It will not.

I think it's a great cause. I remember as a kid, being envious of families that owned a set of encyclopedias. The Wikipedia staff and volunteers help provide a much more extensive version to just about everyone. And work hard to keep it current too. Volunteering work and donating to Wikipedia is well worth it.

You can't go wrong with a Da-Lite screen and an Epson projector. Epson makes a pretty wide range of projectors. Just go with the combo that best fits your budget, and you'll do fine. Note that the higher end ones aren't likely to have wifi image casting built in, so you would need to use a laptop or other dedicated computer/tablet.

I would have assumed Keith as a name as well. Either first or last. I've worked in hosting and web design in the past. The best domain names are easy to remember, and as clear as possible. Shorter is better, and avoid using dashes. I do see that there is a "keith-photography.com" website. If this is you, nice work. If not, you may want to consider other options. Somewhat surprisingly, there is no site hosted at keithphotography.com.

I like Lowepro. When I need a new bag, I look at them first. Get one slightly larger than you think you'll need, and make sure you have good dividers and enough Velcro inside.

I second that. Picked up a Lowpro Event Messenger bag last year. Quite functional and well made. Nice low key design that doesn't scream "expensive camera inside".

Since I use my Epson partially for business, I stick with the OEM carts. I do think it's disgusting how grossly overpriced Epson cartridges are. It runs about $100 to restore the printer ink with XL cartridges. Ironically, part of what drives up the cost, is the authentication chip. These companies also go out of their way to prevent refilling. While I do turn my cartridges in to a recycler, it's still absurdly wasteful.
