Ive had mine on order with four different suppliers since the first day of issue. Still ain't got it. And I'm not a happy camper.

Very nice. I particularly like the flamingos. And like any file of troops, one is always out of step.

Yes, iguanas are good to eat. But they don't taste like chicken. More like frogs legs or gator.
A little hot sauce, a little garlic, a little cumin, make skewers out them with peppers and onions, put over charcoal, some cold beer. Tasty.
I can't find any ID. I suppose it could be an iguana. Where did you take the photo?
It's hard to ID something when there is no location data.
John D
I don't think it is an Iguana. We have lots of the pests here in South Florida and I have never seen one with vertical bands. Tried a quick search and came up with nothing. If I get a little more time this afternoon I'll search again.

Thanks, if I'd have thought a bit I would have realized it was Andrew. Just being a Southern boy when I hear Jackson I just automatically think "Stonewall."
John D
Just out of idle curiosity, which General Jackson? Stonewall or Andrew?
And nice shots, by the way.

I'll reconsider my thought that is was a juvenile. It certainly could be an old bird. But certainly a Great Blue heron.
John D
I think it is a juvenile Great Blue heron.
John D
Good shot. And herons and egrets will eat anything they can catch. And I mean anything. They would eat you if they were a little bigger.

Or in Delray Beach either. the snowbirds are still here in Palm Beach County.
No Jackdaws in this part of the world. Looks like a common crow, also called American Crow. Could also be a fish crow. They look a lot alike. Fish crows are a bit smaller than the American Crow. Too far east to be a raven.

I see that nobody really answered your question. To set flash modes with the SB 700, SB 900. SB 910 on the D850, press the info button and then hold down the flash button on the left side of the camera, and turn the rear command dial. It will cycle through the flash modes.

We had a gathering at the Vet Center in Lake Worth yesterday and a larger ceremony at the VA hospital in Riviera Beach this afternoon. No mention of any of it in the papers, or on local TV.
Not surprising. We still get short shrift.

I would be more apt to think its a snowy egret. The lesser or little egret is pretty rare. They are very hard to tell apart. The one thing that would make me think it is a little egret is the breast plumes. Sibley's book says the little egret has "stringy breast plumes." And this guy does seem to have those. But, I still favor the snowy if only because the little egret is so rare.

Good luck on getting the 500. I've had one on order since September.
