I found this shot from Bunche Beach in January. Was culling my lists for show season. Did not make my final cut but posted since I liked it - and in the end isn't that why we do this?
Correct me if it is not a Lesser Egret - Yellow Footed. Thanks. View the double download for best resolution.
Might crop to 5/4 later when I go back to work on it so let me know your ideas.

I would be more apt to think its a snowy egret. The lesser or little egret is pretty rare. They are very hard to tell apart. The one thing that would make me think it is a little egret is the breast plumes. Sibley's book says the little egret has "stringy breast plumes." And this guy does seem to have those. But, I still favor the snowy if only because the little egret is so rare.

Thanks for the data. I appreciate your input as my ID was ..ahem..googled. Thus my plea for correction if any others had thoughts. I should know better than to trust what I read on a search engine ... which is why I am glad for UHH.
