Hi Folks, have the pleasure of going on a short riverboat cruise down the Cumberland River with my church group last Wednesday. The live entertainment was spectacular and the food (buffet style) was delicious. The cruise lasted about 2 hours. We were entertained for the 1st hour, then passengers got to roam the boat and take in the sights the 2nd hour. Thought I'd shared just a few shots I took on this adventure. Hope you like em, and thanks for stopping in to look. Oh, the 1st shot I took not on this cruise, but on a different day and from a bridge that the General Jackson passed under.
These were taken on a Sony RX10IV, jpegs processed with PSE10, except the 1st image with was shot with a Sony HX300V.The General Jackson Showboat. DSC06417 (2) by

Nice photos, James. We took in a show and cruise on the General Jackson several years ago--great experience.

That's great. It's a pretty good deal too.
Nice set. Looks like a fun short cruise.

Looks like you had a good time!
Very nice set - I'd love to take a short cruise like that!
I always find your images and narratives well done, James, and this one is no exception. I feel like I’m sitting there with you enjoying the show. Thanks for bringing us along. Best wishes to you and your family.
Thanks everyone...appreciate the comments. Most people I think enjoyed the cruise. It was very hot, but the indoor theater was air conditioned which really felt good after being out on the decks. The crew treated all of us like we were royalty.

Enjoyable set of images James.
Great shots! Have fond memories of grade school “field trips” on the Bell of Louisville, a stern wheeler on the Ohio river based out of Louisville KY. Went every Spring from 2nd grade to 6th (in the 1960’s). There was also a “river boat” race between The “Bell” and the Delta Queen held durning “Derby Week” (week before the KY Derby). Really didn’t matter who won as it was fun for all!!
