Love the 24-70 for street photography on my 5DIII, it's on my camera most of the time. On my 7DII which I use for action, sports I prefer other lenses. For outdoors I like the Canon 70-200 f4 lens on the crop sensor camera, great crisp results. Good luck on your decision...

Have a DJI pro drome. Like flying it as a hobby. I am registered but not to do it professionally. That test was quite simple, like 10 questions and the cost was $5.00 To do it professionally you need the part 107 certification. That is not an easy exam. There are sample exams you can get online. The cost is about $150.00 a shot. If you can get your company to pay for it and you have the time to study for it might be worth it. If not stick to your DSLR.

Shooting a lot of sports find my Canon 70-200 f4 L lens for outdoor with a 1.4x extender to give great results. Indoor use a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 if needed with the same 1.4X extender with great results. Had a 2x extender and found it (in my case) useless. Did not get good results in any situation. The 70-200 lenses are great the 1.4X extender a great add on.

Own both lenses. Love them both for different reasons. Actually own two 70-200 lenses, one Canon f4 L and a Tamrom 70-200 f2.8. Love the f4 for outdoor sports primarily summer baseball, at times for a bit extra reach use a 1.4x extender, gives me that bit of extra reach when the ball is going to the outfield with little if any quality loss. I use the Tamron for indoor hockey and concerts gives me great results. Indoor I use my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 for family events and also for indoor sports when I don't need the extra reach, ie: under a basket during a basketball game. Tuff decision but if you're look for a great all around lens the 24-70 would be my choice. If it's sport or a bit extra reach the Canon 70-200 f4 L. That is my favorite lens.

I'm a Canon guy...For sports, action and wildlife my 7DII is my camera of choice. 10 FPS for football and baseball works for me. Getting those bird shots it works great too. I generally shoot sports and wildlife with a 70-200mm f2.8L lens, for a bit more reach use a 1.4X extender with great results. Low light I can't say it performs the best. Most indoor and family event shots I shoot with my 5DII, which is a great camera I've had for years. I would suggest looking for a refurbished or gently used 5DIII for your needs. Unfortunately your APSC lenses will not work.

Do sports pictures and have a 70-200 f2.8 and very often need a bit more reach. The 1.4x extender was the answer. The quality is excellent...I also have a 2X extender and to be honest the quality is bot as great, I rarely use it....The 1.4x is very worth the investment...

I shoot a lot of sports and my 7DII is my body of choice. Love my 70-200 f4L...for outdoor sports. For indoor use a Tamron 70-200 f2.8.... Think that body is best for action sports...I've tried my 5DII and it just isn't right for action....

I use the Sekonic L-308 all the time...Had it about 2 years and find it accurate. Think it was under $200.00...

I've been using Wasabi batteries in all my Canon cameras for many years and have never had an issue. They last as long as my expensive Canon batteries.

Over the years KEH is my go-to place for used equipment. Just 2 weeks ago I sent some Canon gear to them, a camera body, battery grip and 4 batteries. The camera was well used (almost 100,000 clicks on it. It was in very good working condition. Got a fair trade in value and chose the gift card which gives you an extra 5% toward a purchase from KEH. I called them and spoke to a gentleman who knew his stuff. Bought a Canon 5D Mark III in EX condition and received it in a couple days. Their ratings on equipment is better than they rate it. The camera honestly looks brand new. Have purchased a couple "L" lenses from them, all great and still working great. If I have one negative, they don't give you the click count on they bodies they sell. MPB does list click counts on most of their bodies. Never had any problems with any gear I have purchased from KEH...Last plus NO sales tax as I don't live in Georgia....

No problem here. I fly often with my gear and have never removed a card from the camera.

Over the years I have had a heck of a time trying to get the shutter counts on several of my Canon cameras. I've tried several programs none seem to work...Sent
my oldest camera into Canon for a cleaning and requested a shutter count. They provide the shutter count free. Sold the Camera last month and the first question from the buyer was "what is the shutter count"...at that point was able to honestly answer that question. The old 5D had over 98,000 clicks but had a clean bill of health. It sold.....

Upgrading is a big and expensive decision, I am a big Canon fan and own 3 Canon bodies, 2 crop and 1 full frame. Each have there place in my world. My favorite go to body is my 7dII. For sports and wildlife the 10 FPS is a must have especially for sports. The body is a tank and you can use both crop and FF lenses. You will read that FF lenses on a crop body will not give you the best results as if you used them on a FF body, I find that not to be true as I use them on both types of body types and find little difference. I would suggest the 7DII and as $$$'s permits buying Full frame lenses going forward, this way if you decide in the future to go full frame you're good to go. Check out Canon's website and look at the refirb section, you can save and get a nice warranty. The 77D would be an upgrade to your current camera but my opinion is the 7dII would be a better upgrade. Just my opinion!!!

I shoot Canon but I can tell you my favorite walk around lens is my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens. It's very sharp. Not a cheap lens but the results are excellent. Between that and my Canon 70-200 f2.8 L, these are my 2 favorite lenses and use these lenses most of the time...
