My 1st SLR was an SRT-101 purchased from 1 of the mail order shops in New York about 1968. Sold that jus before departing for Thailand in late '72. When I got there, the 1st thing I bought at the BX was a Canon F-1 with a 50mm f/1.4. Added a couple lenses there & Germany which was my next assignment. Bought an AE-1 Program because I liked the smaller body. Kept the AE-1 until I retired from the Air Force in '88. My 1st job was working in a camera shop in Monterey, CA. Got a Minolta Maxxum 7000i & several lenses via our Minolta rep for about half of retail. Minolta, Canon, & Nikon had an employee purchase program at the time. The 7000i lasted until I bought a Sony Alpha 100 from a friend who was upgrading to an Alpha 700. About 6 years ago I bought a used Alpha 850 from B&H & was hooked on full frame digital. Last year we refinanced our house in Ohio. As part of the cash we took out, I bought a used A7RIII from B&H. Now I need to start replacing my A mount lenses with E mount. That's going to take quite some time. Still have the 7000i & Alpha 850.

I own a D7100 and a D750, along with SB-700 Speedlight. Looking for something to carry this gear along with Nikon’s Big 3 lenses. I have the 24-70mm f/2.8. The 70-200mm f/2.8 will be here this week, and I Know I will need the 14-24mm f/2.8 in the upcoming weeks. Gotten good comments often from UHH readers and need advice on the best value for the money in a tough, dependable, not terribly expensive case. Need it large enough to hold all my gear and still have a bit space for straps, whoods, etc. I’ve seen some pretty awesome if you havegear. What would y’all say is the best current direction for cases if one is in the market for value for tough, dependable cases (not just the most expensive, please).

iPhone's have a great Magnifier built in, but it's not activated by default. To enable it, go to Settings>Accessibility> and turn the Magnifier option to "On". That's it. From then on, all you need do is triple-click the home button to get the handiest darn magnifier you ever saw. You can use the slider to zoom, or pinch and spread to zoom. Hit the lightning bolt to turn on the light. Great for menus in a dark restaurant. On the newer iPhones, I believe you triple-click the side button for the magnifier. Happy Independence Day!

Since my latest round of updates to PS and Windows I am no longer able to use Luminar 4 as a filter in PS, Luminar tries to launch but the file isn’t handed off. Stand alone Luminar works as usual. So far, since my last updates, I have discovered this problem only with Luminar. After several emails with Skylum support they tell me the problem is with my Windows administrator name, I had a space between my first and last name. So I changed my name by removing the space...still doesn’t work as a filter...”because the program is still trying to launch using the same path it was installed under.” They advise me to create an additional Windows user account and launch Luminar within it. I asked if it wouldn’t be simpler to uninstall then reinstall Luminar into my current Windows user account, and what happens to my other software access? I’m told reinstalling Luminar won’t help and as for my other software, it would have to be installed in the new user account as well. The thought of reinventing the wheel just to access a filter blows my mind...there has got to be a better way! I would love to hear your thoughts and advice.
