I have, use, love, and highly recommend the OpTech USA Sling Strap seen here on eBay for less than $30 w/free shipping.

I wouldn't believe that it would void the warranty, how would they know you had a different battery in?

Doesn't the use of an aftermarket (cheap) battery void your camera warranty if it messes up and fouls up your expensive D7000?

No idea, it's just something I heard or read in here I think.

I use a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 FX lens on my D90 with fabulous results. And used it on my D3100 before I sold it with great results also.

I know nothing about filters, except that the UV filter is just used by many to protect their expensive lenses. I just bought and received a Nikon/Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF lens for $85.00 off of eBay. Took it out this morning and shot this sunrise photo with it. Am wondering what filter do I need to use to get rid of the "halo" around the sun. Or is it something else like f/ or speed or ISO even.

Hello

The best thing I came up with was to shoot the sunset real low on the horizon f8 ISO 100 SS 250 to 500sec. and a tripod

This is a sunset I took this evening when it was much lower on the horizon.

Yes a much better picture. The sun glow is even no holo. Keep posting.....Richard

Suggestions for photographing a bonfire ...
1.) Don't stand too close!
2.) Don't wear loose flammable clothing!
3.) Don't get drunk and fall in!
