The Post conveniently ommits naming the source, as it would turn this into a non-story: a kid brings a mock gun to school, aims it a fellow students, is separated from the rest of the student body, and the parents are called. Nothing unusual.
According to one from a different source, the kid was "arrested" (so to speek) at 8:35, and his mother was not called until about 10:30; do the math
