Do you live near a Best Buy? Maybe one of the TV/computer gurus there can help, or at least converse about them.

Our TV can see (and connect to?) my laptop via WIFI, but I have not yet investigated what it may or may not be capable of doing via that connection......

I dont even fully buy into those five.

There are three of those five that I find dismissible, so that "other five" are no concern of mine.

Again, I have no Top Ten ... not even a Fave Five ;-)

Everyone has different desires, visioons, and requirements don't they.

If we didn't, we'd all be the same.

But the bottom line is that perfection is not the goal.

(and: If it looks right it's probably good enough.)

YUP! If it looks good, ship it!

Perfection minutia will drive people nutz.

Don’t forget that DVDs “killed” LPs and record players. Oh wait, you can go to Walmart and buy brand new LPs. And digital didn’t kill film completely. Electric cars won’t kill off combustion engines cars any more than jet engines have killed prop planes. Mass production of shoes hasn’t killed folks that still make shoes and boots by hand. Technology marches onward on most consumer products have not died. The volume produced has but people being what they are, there’s always a few left that like the old technology or young ones that rediscover old technology.

About the only thing that truly dies or is put to rest and never resurrected is non-consumer products and ideas, medicine and medical technology being a good example of both. Medical techniques almost never step backwards, nor does agricultural and industrial techniques and concepts. There may be a few around that still make knives and such by hand the old fashioned ways, but they aren’t mass produced.

Camera technology is key for the smart phone manufacturers to survive. Take away the camera features and there isn't meaningful value for a 2000.00 phone over a 200.00 phone. Yes, some speed features and memory but that does not justify a 1800.00 price difference. Their business model depends on consumers wanting continuous improvement and the camera is the sweet spot.

How can one "improve" a phone?
The camera is the selling point.

I upgraded from an S-3 to an S-21, last years model. It was cheaper, didn't need the S-22.
I only upgraded because the S-3 will not be supported (work as a phone) in 6 months.

If you shoot sports photography or wildlife the small lenses and tiny sensors in phones won't cut it. For everyday snapshots to share with friends and family the phones own the market and will for the foreseeable future.

Yea, there are different niches.
Different tools based on requirements.

Tweak stuff in DPP until I like it; save as JPEG.

Also not grey. It's cyan -- measure it and you'll find the blue and green values are substantially higher than the red value.

Wow, is my monitor screwed up.

But everything else looks okay, so I guess I'll keep it.

Believe half of what you see I suppose...

Black and charcoal.

That's why I asked about the grey one.
