Greece Is Open For Travel (pt. 16) - Mykonos Revisited
Sometimes the second time you visit a place it becomes even more enjoyable. So it was with our return trip to Mykonos. Just a stop on our way back to the mainland - enough time for some free-time sightseeing and lunch. Since it was a fresh memory, navigating to points of interest was a breeze. In particular, I wanted to roam the back streets (and they're all back streets!).
I'm putting together a separate collection of photos of the back streets of Greece. I found them wonderful, each one unique, filled with character (and characters!).
One of the most photographed items in Mykonos is the tiny Church of St. Nicholas located right at the harbor (St. Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors). This was the Saturday before Easter, so the entire town was preparing for the festivities.
