Thanks all for the well wishes.

Today, I'll be resubmitting a travel itinerary to our companies bosses for approval. If approved we'll have to make corrections to our route based on our companies concerns. So there may yet be hope of catching the fall colors this year.

In the mean time, Here's few pics from last years anniversary trip through New York State, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.

1: Covered Bridge of New Hampshire
2: Farmers Access Road
3: Sunrise Maine Harbor
4: Sunset in the Window

Compare the advancement between the 80D and the R one would see that the R is more advanced with quicker response times. There's no way around this. Plus each lens has their own response/quickness times also. One other thing, make sure both cameras firmware has been updated. I've heard reports that some issues have cropped up with Tamron on the R system. Something else to consider, if your lenses have not been maintained or taken in for a service, chances are the gears used to control the lens could be seizing up.

According to sites like fstoppers, you're going to get a reflection within the glasses no matter what. Fstopeprs suggests editing this out with software. Another way is to have the subject tilt their head to lessen the reflective effect. Lastly, use a pair of no lens glasses but true, focus on the nose or the temple of the forehead.

Possible issue could be that your camera's settings are set to RAW files and when you upload to your computer etc, the RAW files are harder to locate and recognize. Check your camera's settings to make sure you've adjusted to jpg files.

As for the blurry image issues, if your camera has a touch screen option, force the camera to focus on something within the image and don't forget to wear your glasses.

Lastly, never rely on allowing the camera to auto focus on what you're interested in shooting. Always pin point the focus if possible or the camera will focus beyond the subject. Here's a for instance:

In one of my posted images about train tracks.. If I had left the camera settings alone, it would have auto focused farther down the tracks or the entire image would have been in focus. Instead I wanted to focu on the right hand tracks and because I didn't have my glasses, I ended up focusing (pin point by touching the view screen) and ended up on the rocks in the middle of the track.

Tim, when you upload the image then click attach, you must have your cursor or the text entry line blinking in an empty area of the text entry field. to test this.. create a new message, but don't type anything there.. just highlight the text entry field. The large rectangle boarder will turn black or accented, then attach your image.

In other words, if I don't select the entry field no image will appear and just offer the download option.

Our first night on the road and we had to turn around and come back. Why? The company just called and wanted to verify what direction we are heading. The issue, because the company values our services and our well being. We even got complemented and commendations for working through the pandemic, they did not wish to place our health at risk. Therefore we have to return home and cancel all those hotels we've reserved months in advance. Disappointed, yes.. But we'll have to try again another year.. but I did stressed to the company, "you owe us big on this"

With our soon to be travel plans of hitting the road, I thought I post this last image before I return with an update from the current travels. Simply known as "New Mexico Sky" taken back in 2014 with my then Fujifilm XP60. Our route tend to take us down roads that are less explored or less traveled. We're both hoping these smoky conditions do not dampen my hopes of getting some clear day images. plus I'll be taking a couple of my new filters, my old tripod and will be attempting for the first time some long exposures with the Canon M6.

Till next we meet.

Mike hate to say it, but the Sony is notorious for having this type of issue. One surely can't blame the Zeiss lens.. Most would tell you it's the lens, I've seen others report this type of issue with their lens when it's not the lens at all. Yet there are some lenses that cause this effect and not be on the sony unit. One possible cure could be firmware update if you haven't already. I've not research firmware updates in a while so I can't verify.

Could be that you're using a single directional cable instead of a bi-directional cable. Just depends on what your system needs. But typically the bi-directional should be used.

It's so nice to have everyone having a "laugh" while reading and viewing my topics.. because of this and while on our travels I'm withdrawing my filter/s giveaway. I see no point in rewarding those of you whom feel my topics are comedic when I'm attempt to be very serious about this. I thought I'd be helpful to other who might want to check out this years fall colors, only to be told, "we're just having a little fun" etc. Fun to you, not so funny to me. To all those who feel they need a laugh while reading my topics, avoid my topics in the future.

Again thanks to those who have been understanding and considerate when responding to my topics and images.
