With our soon to be travel plans of hitting the road, I thought I post this last image before I return with an update from the current travels. Simply known as "New Mexico Sky" taken back in 2014 with my then Fujifilm XP60. Our route tend to take us down roads that are less explored or less traveled. We're both hoping these smoky conditions do not dampen my hopes of getting some clear day images. plus I'll be taking a couple of my new filters, my old tripod and will be attempting for the first time some long exposures with the Canon M6.
Till next we meet.
It's not that I don't like California, it's just really smoky where I live just now and we're not sleeping lots because the Fire Dept sends us a warning that we may need to evacuate every night just about my bedtime. I do love your road picture.
You'll never get one like that in any west coast state just now because we're all on fire and the weather forecast for Denver and environs just now is 6+ inches of snow before tomorrow. I'm jes' sayin'.

Be safe and enjoy your travels...
Good luck! Keep us posted.
Stay safe and enjoy an uneventful trip. Keep on shooting!
Our first night on the road and we had to turn around and come back. Why? The company just called and wanted to verify what direction we are heading. The issue, because the company values our services and our well being. We even got complemented and commendations for working through the pandemic, they did not wish to place our health at risk. Therefore we have to return home and cancel all those hotels we've reserved months in advance. Disappointed, yes.. But we'll have to try again another year.. but I did stressed to the company, "you owe us big on this"
Nice photo--hope your travels are fruitful.

You should have thanked them for their concern about your physical health, but told them your mental health required a long Western vacation.
Be save and looking forward to many photos. Nice photo by the way.
Enjoyed the photo. Hope your travels are fantastic. Looking forward to seeing some new photos.
Thanks all for the well wishes.
Today, I'll be resubmitting a travel itinerary to our companies bosses for approval. If approved we'll have to make corrections to our route based on our companies concerns. So there may yet be hope of catching the fall colors this year.
In the mean time, Here's few pics from last years anniversary trip through New York State, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
1: Covered Bridge of New Hampshire
2: Farmers Access Road
3: Sunrise Maine Harbor
4: Sunset in the Window

Very nice. What film was used?
Steve,
Canon EOS M6
Fotodiox EF - EFM adapter
50mm f/1.8 STM & 100mm f/2.0 USM lenses
Testing a Space age Yellow Material used as a filter in a 85mm Cokin "P" mount adapter
Update:
Just got an email from our company approving out new trip route. However this approval can change at any time based on the influence of the pandemic. We're going to have to do some leapfrogging in and around a few states, But when it's all said and done, and I'm home with some image, I believe you're going to like the route we selected. hell who knows might even login while on the road and share a live image from the route..
Later, I'll post the route for others if anyone wants to experience the same things we did.
