Thank you, sgt hop, and thank you for your service. Unfortunately, too many in in this country have forgotten, never learned about, or just don't care about the sacrifices of those who gave so much to provide them a free and safe homeland. My father served in WWII as a tail gunner in a B17. My brothers and I served during Viet Nam with the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps and we are all proud to be able serve our fellow Americans. America's failure to remember and cherish our warriors and protectors has been very destructive to our society and our place in the world. Once again, Sir, thank you for your service.
Thank you, sgt hop, and thank you for your service... (show quote)

you are welcome....and thank you and yours for the service...i did a term in the airforce before the pd,but no war...i came in under the korean war, but the firing was over...

And, to add to montephoto's response, I would guess that it is black to contrast with a white base and make it easier for the umpire to see that they are actually touching the base.

i have been watching the men's college baseball championship games...when some of the players reach a base they will put a black glove on their hand....i'm wondering why.....i thought it was because the player was pitching....but it wasn't so...not all players were doing this....just curious.....

Was there supposed to be a link to images?

Is a “toy” camera defined by the model or by the end use? If we define it by the end use, then most people here have toy cameras.

If so, all my cameras are "toy"....
