Because I learned to photograph on film, without all the "auto" features. The only feature on my current camera that I depend on is auto focus because my eyesight isn't what it used to be and I do sometimes use aperture or shutter priority.

Ebay used to be great deals for most anything but it has become a business marketplace and that means "get as much $$$ as you can" for a lot of vendors. If you're willing to search, you can weed out the greedy vendors and still find good deals. I see things listed at nearly double the going suggested list price and some fool will probably buy these things.

I don't like people that prey on less than intelligent people or gouge prices, so I could never sell like that.

I have the Lowe Pro Mini Trekker and it will take the Tamron 150-600 with body attached as well as a Nikon 80-400, an Nikon 80-200 and a Nikon 50mm if you can deal with the weight. I also have a Lowepro Fastpack 350 aw (smaller) that would hold the Tamron 150-600 (not on body) and a couple smaller lenses (50mm and 24-70 etc). Maybe anther body too depending on lens choice.

Photoshop will not resize a photo by itself, you have to do that. When saving, if you save as jpeg, choose the highest quality (which will be the largest size), you should have the same size as you started with.

What size is your camera set to photograph at? If you have your camera set to shoot at small, maybe that's your problem.

Adding pixels to the image to make it bigger will not usually give good results.

They didn't really "Stand up for their principles", but rather backed out quietly. This could have been due to promotional budget cuts, no new products, small market share (for hunting scopes/binoculars), as well as trying to distance themselves from the NRA. Who knows? They didn't say. This doesn't appear to be the same situation as was brought on by companies such as Dick's Sporting Goods, who dug a huge chasm between themselves and the NRA.

I will continue using/buying Nikon products, as I do believe they have every right to pull advertising dollars for what ever reason. From everything I've read. they pulled their sponsorship at this event, but didn't slam the NRA on their way out the door.

Hard time deciding, SSD or reg HD! G-Tech, Seagate, WD, or others? Want to keep photos off of Mac HD & use only external for photos only... looking @2T - 4T... You folks are the experts!
Thanks,
Cheers,

Alex

SSD would be nice but 2-4 TB will cost a bundle. San Disk and Samsung are close to $700 each for 2 TB drives and only have 3 year warranty's. A lot of 4 TB mechanical drives are $99 to $110 with a 3 year warranty for portable (small) HDs.

If you're familiar with drive enclosures, you could put a WD Black 4 TB drive in one. It would not be portable size, but it would have a 5 year warranty.

I have good luck with Western Digital.

Is it ethical to photoshop out the blood stains and bullet holes from certain rooms at the property or is that too much ethical optimization?

That's when you hire someone to seal and repaint. Nothing a bucket of mud and some sealer won't fix

What is JPEG compression ?

JPEG compression is basically how you save a jpeg. In Photoshop, when you save a jpeg, the dialog box asks what options to use. Under Image options it asks what quality you want to save it as (from 1-12 with 12 being the highest quality and largest file).

Most email services only allow 3-5 MB per email. This is a private website and under different rules than a public email system but if you tried to post 100 MB files, they would probably get refused. What camera were the photos taken with and what format are they (jpeg, tiff, raw, etc.)?
