I'm involved in a discussion with another film shooter and while discussing the availability of reviewing shots in real time he said that he NEVER DOES. He said that he might go a month before even LOOKING at the images. He never chimps, never checks or reviews, never goes home and downloads the images into Lightroom or whatever post processing software.
I said that that's very unusual so here I am asking you 'hogs...what do you do? Answer by adding the alphabet letter that most closely matches your answer;
A.
I chimp shots at least SOME of the time, OR I take the card out of the camera when I get home or within one day and review images.
B.
I NEVER chimp EVER NOR do I REVIEW images until well AFTER the shoot date...like AT LEAST A FEW WEEKS LATER IF NOT MONTHS LATER.
Here we go!
B, but the A part fits my processing practice.
I chimp so rarely that I might as well say I don't. With my settings it's useless and a waste of time.
However, I don't wait long periods of time to process what I shot. I usually do that within hours to a day later, at the most.

I chimp, why not if I forgot something then I correct it.
Sort of a combination—depends on the situation.
thanks everyone, keep the answers coming.
To clarify; if you EVER chimp for any reason OR you EVER review or download shots within a day or two....that counts as an "A" answer.
B only pertains to NEVER chimping EVER and NEVER checking shots until many weeks or months go by.
A - essentially all the time. As I am not a professional, I take pictures for my own enjoyment. Also I'm usually not going to return to that site anytime soon or with those people. So, for me, I can't imagine why I would not chimp.
Definately A. Why spend time and effort shooting just to later find out that something was wrong and you got nothing.
Bill
A - When I'm on a cruise, I download and review every night.
B - other times, it could be months or years before I open pix is Lightroom.

Just to be clear; if you are not on a cruise; you not only don't chimp EVER but you never even LOOK at anything you've shot before months or years go by. You have no idea if you've gotten a shot until months or years later.
Is that what you mean?
A - I look at the image in camera immediately after the shot to see what the capture looked like. Always download as soon as possible to post process. Can't image not viewing pics asap.

1/2 A.
I don't chimp but I will usually put them on the computer and go through them within a day.
Thanks everyone! Keep the answers coming! No judgements; just data.
