Long Lens Camera Bag Question

Good day all,
I was wondering if any of you fine folks could give me some suggestions for a camera bag. I use a ThinkTank Retrospecive bag for my crop sensor DSLR and it will hold the camera with one or two lenses up to and including a Nikkor 70-300 f4.5-5.6G. This is my wandering-about bag and I love it.
For travel and when I want to carry my D850 and several larger lenses, I use the Lowepro Pro Tactic 450, which is a really awesome bag and very flexible. However, I have not been able to configure the inserts in such a way that I can carry the D850, with attached battery grip and my Tamron 150-600 G2. In fact, I can't even find a way to house the same camera with the Tamron 70-200 G2 attached.
So what I want to know is this; what bag are you using for your full-frame with attached long lens? Is it tough, padded, comfortable to carry, and easy to access on the fly?
Any tips or guidance gratefully appreciated!

I use a Think Tank Airport Accelerator (original) that has room for a D750 (no grip but would probably fit) and the same Tamron 150-600 lens attached. It also holds 2 other lenses, a flash, teleconverter, and various small things like battery chargers, cable releases, etc. I could probably squeeze a 3rd lens in there if I needed to.

I have the Lowe Pro Mini Trekker and it will take the Tamron 150-600 with body attached as well as a Nikon 80-400, an Nikon 80-200 and a Nikon 50mm if you can deal with the weight. I also have a Lowepro Fastpack 350 aw (smaller) that would hold the Tamron 150-600 (not on body) and a couple smaller lenses (50mm and 24-70 etc). Maybe anther body too depending on lens choice.

The LowePro lens Trekker is a great camera bag. I routinely use it with my 600mmF4 and camera attached. The LoewPro Pro Trekker 450 AW fits my Sigma Sport 150-600 with body attached, along with another body and 4 lenses. Not that you'd want to carry that 45 load for a long distance . . .

Thanks for all the useful feedback. It has helped me narrow down my search. Now I just need someone to carry it!

I use a Tamrac Anvil Super 25 Backback (TO280). It takes my full frame with a Canon 500 Lens mounted. It’s not expensive and when you already have spent loads on other bags, of various sizes, all you want is something that securely holds your setup without breaking the bank.

I second the suggestion for Tamrac Bags, easy to configure and very durable.

I use a separate Lowepro lens case for my [equivalent] Nikkor 200-500. (It previously held a Tamron 150-600 G1, which I sold.) See https://store.lowepro.com/lens-cases/lens-case-13-x-32cm

If the OP wants to go that route, the same size pouch on ebay (not Lowe Pro but I have one for my 80-400 and it is a great case) for a third of the Lowe Pro cost - https://www.ebay.com/itm/JJC-DLP-7-Deluxe-Lens-Pouch-95mm-Cap-TAMRON-SP-150-600mm-F5-6-3-Di-VC-USD/222576543268?hash=item33d2988624:g:hQgAAOSwZ1BXdvQf

This may or may not help you. Currently using for my Minolta 9xi Maxxum with a long lens. Link takes you to a previous post and reply.

I’m currently traveling in Equador with a new Think Tank Airport Backback. Nikon 7100 attached to a Tamron 150-600 mm, A Nikon 750 (no lens attached), and a 24-120 mm lens. Plenty of space for charger, batteries, meds and other things you don’t want in checked bags. The bag fit the overhead compartment in a small, propeller puddle-jumper plane.

Just to be on record, it is NOT a good idea to pack a camera with a long lens on it, in ANY kind of bag. The pressure on the mounting point to your camera is greatly increased from any kind of shock the longer the lens. The old fulcrum/ lever situation.
