Try the WWII museum. If you enjoy history at all it will be well worth your time.
We did a day there last year. Def a possibility.
Thanks!
I've sold pics from NOLA on stock sites pretty well... bands, architecture, wildlife. My biz card features my g/f appearing lost in front of a pretty colorful stucco wall. Lots to work with there.
We're taking the City of New Orleans to NOLA overnight... 3 days of French Quarter Fest and then 5 days of seeing the sites. This is my 4th year and there are always great pics when it's over.
Any suggestions for something we may have missed? We're staying in the Quarter with no vehicle. Might do another swamp tour.
or... if anyone wants to meet for food or beverages I'm certain to be available sometime.
As they say in southern France,,, "Au revoir y'all!"
Can the same be said of using flash or reflectors? or ND filters? or long lenses? (no, I didn't read the previous 17 pages of comments... sorry if this is a duplicate.) Lots of wasted rhetoric here... If you don't care for someone's interpretation just go on to the next page.
Give us a hint... What sport?
Hmmm... Somehow we missed that one. Very nice.
Goes nuts and can create vibrations.
CreativeLive.com has plenty. Ben Wilmore is great. He's on for free next week.
I think DeanS has your answer. I have had no issues with my 5D in this regard, but I don't do any in-camera pp. I mostly save RAW + S-jpeg to both cards, use the SD-card to move everything to the computer and then reformat everything. I let the CF card just be back-up until I know the originals are in the computer.

When I bought my 2x tele I realized I was in bad shape with my lightweight tripod. This solved the problem, although you sometimes wish for a third pair of hands...

Somehow this feature hadn't come across my list of tools until recently. Read a couple articles and set up a quick desktop trial. Pretty slick! The checkers was quick and dirty from 5 shots. looks like .5 sec exposures may have had some camera motion.
The cemetery was from some shots taken at three different exposures for HDR but the process worked and it picked foreground, mid-space and distant focus points from three different exposures.
Go longer or buy a 1.4 or 2x converter. If you happen to need a wider view of something do a pano. Have fun! Send pics.
