Hello all,
I spent most of yesterday making a video with photographs and videos for a school class. I used Wndows Live Movie Maker. All went well making it was easy, but then.......it saved in a WLMP file and I could could find no way to change it to make it into a file that was transferable to a DVD so I can give it to the school. Is there anyway to change this format? Or does anyone know of a downloadable program that will do this and save in a transferable format?
Thank you all,
Wendy

I was asked last week to make a slide show and fast for a presentation that day! I had to resize all of the images and edit them etc. When I went to email the file was too large, so yes You Tube. I was able to add music, it was sent out to all who needed to see it and I had many compliments. I would do it that way again.

Hello All.
I have been given a Nikon D40 AF-S DX. It is probably about 5 years old. I have the standard lens 18-55 but perhaps Santa could bring me a much larger one, at least 300mm?
Does anyone use this camera and have suggestions or know where I can get a lens.
Thanks,
Wendy,

On the back of the card at the bottom I write in a nice font, photography by - my name - and underneath that my email address. I also pick up the main color of the image and print in that. Also a fairly small font.

I have never been happy with my lap top colors, either my old Dell or this Toshiba, but I will try the suggestion from Jean in New Zealand to hook up my external monitor to the laptop.

Hi Jean on the other side of the world!! Thanks for the reply, are you in the middle of winter?? We are in the middle of a hot steamy and stormy Florida summer.
So I also have a Toshiba lap top that I love, my screen is only 18 inches that fits inthe hole in my desk and is shaded so the light is not direct and I like that. Anyway where does it plug in on the laptop and how do you change screens?

Goodness, I did not know that was possible, we may be straying off topic a bit, I would like more information on this idea if you don't mind and a provate reply will be fine.
Thanks,

Did not think about that.............I am not that computer savvy, but can you attach a stand alone flat screen monitor to a lap top????????? Wow, I would rather have a new laptop than a tower.........

Thanks for all of your replies. Question please, what is it about the 'all in one' computers?
I may try loading PS7 on my husbands new laptop, yes I do have the code. But another question. I have been told that PS made the program so that it can only be used in different computers a few times then it self destructs. BUT another question......sorry about this, can the 'copy' disc be copied?
Thanks so much.

Sorry I did not actually open the file so I did not see what it looked like. Yes now I think about it I kept the CD in my computer for quite a while when I first got the camera. I don't remember how I got to save the link.
Aplogies again.

Hello all,
I am considering getting a new computer just for graphics. Somehow I can never get the color the way I want it on my laptop. I have a geriatric HP that I feel needs to be retired. I have seen all in one computers and screens together, very cool, or I could just get another tower. I like the separate monitor. But I have a 'copy' of Photoshop 7.0 that I use. I do not know if a new computer would accept it as it is quite old. If it does not it will cost me more than the computer to get another edition of Photoshop. Any ideas or comments?
Thanks,

I too am very happy with this camera, my only comment is that the focusing is somewhat slow, but great image quality and very easy to use.

I downloaded the instruction manual and keep it on my desktop. This link should get you there.

Thanks Eric, I am really thinking of choosing a print and hand coloring with probably a mixed media, I am not sure what will work. But I have to get the time and inclination and all that it takes to start a new project.
Hope your weekend is good.
Hot steamy and stormy in Florida.
