Hello all,
I spent most of yesterday making a video with photographs and videos for a school class. I used Wndows Live Movie Maker. All went well making it was easy, but then.......it saved in a WLMP file and I could could find no way to change it to make it into a file that was transferable to a DVD so I can give it to the school. Is there anyway to change this format? Or does anyone know of a downloadable program that will do this and save in a transferable format?
Thank you all,
Wendy

I use AVG video converter. Will change it to a format that any dvd player or computer can use.

You've fallen victim the WMM. It's a fair program but not nearly as good as other editors out there. I'm using Video Pad by NCH software. It has a free download to try, free for 30-days. I now own their "pro" version at about $100.
You should also know that conversion, at least in my experience, always costs you quality as in extra noise and other junk that ends up in your production.
Video Pad will save your edited material in either MP4, which is excellent for playing on your computer or it will burn directly to a DVD that works on any player.
My opinion would be best to re-edit with a real video editor and then give your DVD to the school.
Best of Luck.
Thanks for you replies. I found out that WMM can only be saved to share on a DVD and that worked for what I needed for this one, but going forward I will have to use another program.
As always thanks all for responding.
