D7100 or D7200 would be good choices from 500 to 800 depending on used refurb or new.

What a load of rubbish to say that if you use that technique you dont know how to expose properly!!!

Would fully agree as an avid HDR shooter. I don't do it because I don't know how to expose. I do it because I do. I still set ISO and Aperature to get my depth of field. I usually bracket .7 to 1 stop 3 exposures. I then merge the images together.

To say it is for those who don't know how to expose is insulting. Set the aperture ISO or shutter speed incorrectly and you have junk. Those who say this do not understand this process at all.

Why are people so bitter and salty? People who focus stack don't know how to focus properly then huh?

Gear does not matter one bit if you don't know how to use the camera or how to compose an image. Too many think buying a $3000 rig will give them great photos. When their images are no better than before they blame the gear and spend more money. Eventually they shelve the gear and sell it at a loss.

Others just have bad GAS and are constantly buying new gear and never perfect the craft so gear only matters when it advances the quality of your work.

Not all of us... when I can get two third party batteries and a charger for less than half the price of a new Sony one, it's an easy decision.

If all you really want is the longevity of dual batteries go with the cheaper. Far too many people get hung up on brand name.

Non OEM parts in most instances work as good as original name brand but you will save big. Companies love people who are hung up on names and can charge you 3 times because they can. Auto insurance companies usually quote non OEM parts for this reason they are not "sub-standard" as many think.

Put the money saved to something else because you will never get that money back on OEM products.

It's not a case of what nature displays - it's what man has spoilt - for example, bins everywhere, fences everywhere, telegraph poles and cables everywhere, roads everywhere, litter everywhere, the destroying of our forests, the poaching of our animals, the poisoning of our atmosphere - shall I go on?
If you want to see nature in the raw, you should be thanking photographers who remove such wonderful displays of man's ingenuity at spoiling our world. Man's "advancement" is not on a linear scale - it is more on a logarithmic scale - which gives us about 60 years before armageddon.

Wow such a positive person you are. Hope you don't run a suicide help line anytime soon.

Funny how we now like to place the word super in front of words like moon and bloom or storm or cell.

It is impressive to see large areas in bloom with wild flowers. And all super????? Offer good photo ops.

Check out one of the many Vanguard tripods. They don’t break the bank and have excellent support.

I would second that. I just replaced the ball head on mine with an upgrade to the one that came with the tripod. Yes a Vanguard one. The quick release was not arca swiss and needed one for my L bracket. The other one was not arca swiss and their own quick release.

Blocker apps are common. I block all calls with my app that are not in my contacts. Works good to send them on their Merry way. They need to pass laws fining companies who spoof their numbers to pretend they are local.

And what ever happened to the no call list anyway?

I would crop the original to Eliminatete much of the grey sky. I am not a fan of composites because I want to see the scene as it was. As long as you do not pass it off as real and divulge it no harm.

I have read/been told that every time you edit a jpeg file you lose some information. I am not questioning this fact. However, some people imply this is a problem; others say no big deal. When I save my jpegs, I do so at the highest quality the program allows.

My question: are there Hoggers who have discarded formerly good jpeg pictures because they became degraded over time with multiple edits? I am curious if this is a real world problem or more a theoretical concern. If you have lost pictures, can you estimate the number of discrete editing sessions they underwent.

I assume the degradation becomes more noticeable as the print size increases, correct?

Never save over an original and you will always have the unedited version to start with if you need to.

Looks to me like a 'doctored' picture of a bald eagle. It's NOT a 'real' sea hawk.

And what does that tell you? It is either not true or they don't care. Funny they called it Global Warming to start and now just Climate Change so either way the temps swing they can claim change.

Can't base future climate on this rock based on a lifetime or a 100 year record. Ice cores show temperature swings way more extreme in the past so one thing is for sure climate does change and will.

Sunrise and sunset images are not trite. How many do people really get to view in a lifetime? Not very many when you think about it I love viewing them and the colors they can produce. A Sunrise/sunset image with a interesting landscape is what landscape photographers hope for.

Not trite, love the colors.
