The NOAA has published a map of expected Spring Flooding in the US.
Having had record snow fall and regularly increased heavy rainfall, parts of the US are already considered as being at 'disaster risk'.

what was that about climate change?

have a look and be safe

I'm afraid this may only be the beginning, and, things will get quite a bit worse. The governments of the world do not appear to be concerned.

And what does that tell you? It is either not true or they don't care. Funny they called it Global Warming to start and now just Climate Change so either way the temps swing they can claim change.

Can't base future climate on this rock based on a lifetime or a 100 year record. Ice cores show temperature swings way more extreme in the past so one thing is for sure climate does change and will.

It's true... I'd bet the farm on it. There's a huge financial cost involved and that's the reason why no one is acting. The aboriginal concept that 'we don't own the earth, we borrow it from our children' couldn't be more appropriate. The 'freaky' weather of late will get a lot worse, I suspect.

It is climate change, and it's a consequence of global warming. Each year, we set new temperature records.

Climate change is real, and it has been occurring naturally since the beginning of time (remember the dinosaurs?). It is a natural occurrence, and there’s absolutely nothing a pile of politicians can do about it. Lean back and take it in, roll with the punches.

I am amused by those who think they can stop it.

I believe that scientifically it could probably not be stopped, but it could be slowed.
Politically? Not a chance.

We caused it, and, if acted on the effects can be mitigated.

Climate change is like the American deficit; in the future there is going to be a real ugly day of reckoning. I’m not likely going to convince some folks any more than they will be able to convince me of the current situation.

The deniers and I have a really big difference of opinion, but we are different in one significant respect. I, sincerely, hope the deniers are correct.

“The National Geographic wrote that the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is this high ‘for the first time in 55 years of measurement—and probably more than 3 million years of Earth history.’ The current concentration may be the highest in the last 20 million years.“ There are countless other articles and research data that confirm climate change or global warming; they just don’t know how bad it will get. There is a significant correlation between CO2 emitted and the earth’s temperature. Catch the links:

Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling a pig in the mud... pretty soon you realise they enjoy it.
