Best Photographers on the board..
Who cares? honestly. you're asking someone to either bragg about themselves saying they're great or asking somone to "vote"for thier favorite. in my opinion rediculous. Perhaps a better question would be "whos got the most relevent experience?" or "Are there any photo members who run or have run thier own business successfully for more than five years", ya know, credentials. For that matter i've been taking pics for about a year now and I think I'm the "best photographer" on the board.
Yes, Roger is good, and so is Tilly. Nikonian72, of course... but how about MT Shooter?? That person also gets my vote along with others mentioned, and a whole group of folks not mentioned. I know personally, that there are folks on this site that don't post pix but give useable advice to anyone that asks.Isn't that what we're all here for, to learn?? If a person shares their style of taking pix, and any hint of how the rest of us can get better, they get my vote. I hope this doesn't turn into a popularity vote, because no-one will be at the head of the class. I believe we can and have helped one another.Good luck to ALL!
I'm not a bad photographer, just not a photographer at all!(just a "wanna-be" SO FAR)
Having THAT out of the way, I must say that I hope no one gets feelings hurt here because there are many GREAT photographers in our midst. We are pretty lucky to be keeping company and learnig from these greats.
There are 2 here that I think are outstanding enough (double super great) to shoot for Nat Geo any day of the week. In fact, I think Nat Geo should be working for THEM. I could follow those 2 with at least 20 names of others that are truly great as well, but I'm not tossing out names. I'd surely forget at least 50 others and don't want anyone to be able to say I just walked away and left them out.

I care about who I like and they know who they are because I "stalk" them. Others want to know who to watch and learn from. No one is asking for bragging, necessarily. But hey, I you have the knowledge, don't discount your ability. I'm adding one more to this list that people who don't know should check out. He has a more "artistic" style that I, personally, admire. Silvertone.

Perfect answer MWAC. We are all equal, in the middle and just trying to learn. By the way, with that answer you should run for president.
lmao - I'm Canadian, I'm not allowed to run for the US Presidency.

Rather than names, maybe you should ask followers of your thread to post their ONE best shot. That way, YOU get to decide who has the stuff that interests you. Beauty (and best) will always be in the eyes of the beholder. There's a huge difference in a great portrait shot vs. a landscape shot. When I see something exceptional I like to ask questions of the photographer as to how s/he did it.
I agree, the best photography is so subjective. What may be the best photograph to one person is not the best to the other. That being said.......
I give it to Johnrennie. He has talent in both portait, wildlife, etc. We don't see much of him, but he clearly is very knowledgeable, likeable, and talented. He gets my vote because he very well rounded and truly great in many way.

Sorry your thinking that people that have the most relevant experience or who has been running a successful photography business for over 5 years is actually ridiculous. Just looking over this forum there are tons of hobbyist that have no desire to be in business and have more talent than most of the "pros" in my local area.
* I'd really like to see some of
YOUR work.
