I have my hands full enough with comparing my stuff with what I have done before.
As far as the others here, I have not either adequately sampled the available photos, or looked at those that I have seen with that kind of purpose. Some names come to mind, but listing them could not be done with enough confidance in putting them in any order.

CaptainC, Roger Hicks and Nikonian72 are three I can name off the top of my head (there are many others on this forum as well). They consistently give pretty level-headed advice based on experience without tooting the "I'm a pro, so you should listen to me" horn. I work with enough arrogant PhD's and scientists all day long; it's refreshing to get an honest humble opinion based on real-life experience and practice.
The other reason I respect these three more than most is because they have access to their work via a web link. I don't easily appeal to authority, but their photography work is OUTSTANDING, so to me they are the true definition of a pro.

I agree. This kind of question does nothing but cause problems. Besides, someone who does work I like may not do work someone else would like.
Everyone has different tastes. That why they make Canon and Nikon cameras.
