Having our church closed for the duration affected us greatly as Chuck and I are heavily involved in our congregation. In addition to regular Sunday morning and evening services, all other church functions were cancelled - Kids' Quest, Bible studies, Session meetings, and Wednesday night prayer meetings. As with many other congregations around the country, technology came to the rescue with Zoom for meetings and a small group of us made YouTube videos of the Sunday service each Saturday. It was really strange watching our pastor preach to an empty sanctuary but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

I love that hymn: "The Solid Rock". We have been using zoom and videos on our website for meetings and ministry, too.
Using Zoom for church meetings and a mask on my part time job:
We have been fortunate enough living in a small town, to not have to stay cooped up. While not really being able to go anywhere in particular, we have been able to go everywhere... The rain, and quite a bit of it, has kept us in quite a bit more than we wanted... The camera has been stuck taking the same old pictures, locally...and that has made it harder to find new material... but most of the time, you just have to look under your nose...
I must say, though, the painted rock was the biggest surprise, of all... Our neighbor Kelly is a school teacher, and she had her kids out in the sun keeping busy.. when we came up the driveway, 1st grader Harper HAD to come give Sue her rock !! So we proudly put it by the front stair to the porch, so everyone would see it !! I bet you wish you had one !!
I call these Bluebells. Tiny, next to blades of grass.

I'll start out with pictures of our kitchen project which began at the beginning of the lockdown and entailed replacing the counter with walnut plywood, a new sink, new stonework behind the stove (no pictures of that yet), painting the base cabinets and replacing the framed pictures (both of which are still to be done).
Quite the job!! looks really inviting !! do you still actually use the stove, or just an accent piece? love it !!

Thanks - it's still a work in progress but one of these days it will be finished. The cookstove is part of our heating system (we have a wood burner in the living room as well) and is great to cook on. I use it more than the gas stove in the winter.

The past two and a half months of lockdown have been quite the challenge for all of us, but thankfully, things are beginning to ease up and hopefully, will return to normal. During this time we've all had time to learn new techniques, play with Photoshop effects, and just take pictures. This challenge is an opportunity to show off what we've done with all that time. I'm looking forward to see what you've done!

I believe those purple flowers are grape hyacinths. The painted rock is a sweet gift from your neighbor - treasure it.

Same here, Sue! Seems unheard of ! Not much choice though! Celebration may be a way off, unfortunately!
I am out and about everyday. I practice social distancing, I wear a mask when close to others and am careful around everyone. My job is considered essential.
I love old barns. Nice captures.

All are very nice, Rufe!
Good that you are following protocol! Right now it's the only way to cull this virus!

We've been having morning services for the past three weeks, however, the evening service and all other meetings and ministries are still on hold and being conducted electronically where possible.
