I suppose it was better than saying " Be careful dead limbs may fall from above "

Limbs are not the only things that can fall from trees. Watch out for birds sitting on those limbs, and be glad that cows donโ€™t fly! ๐Ÿ˜„

Also, does anyone know why there is a โ€œbโ€ on the end if the word limbs? Shouldn't it just be lims?

I think it is a tree conspiracy.... In the tropics falling coconuts kill people. And you think that is kind of funny until you hear one crashing through some leaves near you and hitting the ground with a very loud "thud"...

Somebody must have gotten clobbered, sued and won. So now the warning. Itโ€™s odd that we donโ€™t see crash warning signs on the highways, or for branches falling out of trees over the roads. I was clobbered by one. Sure wish there had been a sign. At least Iโ€™d have known it was coming. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜œ

Kind of makes one wonder if all those tombstones in the background are of the unwary visitors who were taken out by falling limbs.

Shouldn't it also be in Braille and all the languages of world wide tourists? Think of the sign painting workers who will earn a salary... Think of the graphic artists who might be employed... Of course think of re-using those fallen limbs to make the sign posts........ and endless hyperbole!!

Was walking in Felton Ca Red Wood state park and it was blowing pretty hard, 30 to 40 mph. And I heard a loud cracking sound and a rather large branch from a Red Wood came crashing down. It was unnerving as hell so I left and came back when the winds had calmed down.

I,m a forester and have spent over 60 years roaming the woods. I have never had a worker (logging crew) hurt my a limb coming out of a tree, With the advent of OSHA hard hats are required though

A few years ago I went camping at Yosemite in a campground area called the Upper Pines campground. We camped for 5 nights and then came home. The following week a tree fell in the same campground we were at and killed two 14 year old boys sleeping in a tent. I don't know if it was the same site as we were in, but yes, trees do fall and tree branches do break off and gravity does have an affect. No doubt about it.

Good to hear that you've finally decided to "branch-out". - Steve (Someone had to say it.)

Wonderful place to visit and walk around. My son and I went when he was younger. There was a building in town with a small sign that stated: "On this site in (I forget what year), absolutely nothing happened." Thought that was hilarious....

Another time to avoid walking under trees, after buckets of rain. I think it was last year there was a wedding in a park. Clear, non-windy day, but a tree fell and killed the groom. The rain had loosened the roots of the tree.
