B and H has SanDisk cards for 17.99 for 64g and 29.99 for 128.
I would stay smaller than 1T

Does anyone realize just how many images the much smaller and inexpensive cards will hold? Even a 32GB card, shooting in JPEG, will hold 1300 images! How large a card does anyone need???

Sports and action shooters shoot on burst so they need a lot of capacity.

Guess you're too busy to read any of the OP's updates to the thread?

Try shooting birds for a day or a major sporting event. Then you will understand. 1300 images is nothing.

Chg_canon is far from a troll. Probably one of the most helpful guy on UHH.

Agree 100% with the eggs in the basket!
32 and 64 work for me.
Not doing professional production work, so I only take a reasonable number of shots, not much video.

For most people they do not need 1Tb cards. I agreed with anothers comment that 1300 was enough and if needed use more cards. Why risk any loss to just one card ?

In film days we only had to choose between 24 or 36, or 120 and 220. Things have changed.

Just saying… I don’t, either. I clear out the card after I’ve uploaded each time. I can’t see any good reason why one needs a 1TB card.

Video.

Even then 1TB is overkill. They’re made for people shooting professional video, especially with cameras shooting 8K. I did have to go from 64GB to 128 when I was focus stacking macro with my 45.7 MP Z7. A few 300 shot stacks filled the 64 fairly quickly.

I've never filled a 32GB card more than halfway.

Nor have I. I believe the most images I had on them at any one time was between 500 and 600.
