You need to go back and read my post. It was not negative and stated a possible reason for needing a large capacity memory card.

The camera the OP is using can record 1920 x 1080 video, normally called 1080p. There are a lot of factors that determine the file sizes per hour of recording, and in Googling I have seen figures of 1.5GB per hour to over 15GB per hour.
A 1TB card is 1024GB. Thus we see that the OP could use that 1TB card for anywhere from 682 hours of recording to 68 hours of recording.
But video wasn't asked for. Just doing lots of HDR images.

That is not my original post where I merely suggested that sports and action shooters shoot on burst and therefore need larger capacity cards.

There are also risks to using multiple cards. At a recent show the hired event photographer left his cards on the judges table and lost track of them. A full day of show documentation would have been gone if another photographer hadn't found their owner. Changing cards at a venue or in the wild has a rather high risk of loss down a grate or in the grass or underfoot or swapped with the wrong card or loaned out accidentally or foreign material in the card slot or <fill in the blank>.
I try to use high capacity cards and never take them out of the camera. Even at the office, the card stays in the camera until it has been uploaded via USB. Quality CFe and XQD cards are super fast and reliable and USB is now as fast as a reader. If the project is super critical and doesn't require high burst rate then the second slot is a mirror and the risk of card failure should be very low.
I do agree that 1 TB is not a good idea for a generic SD. A 512 GB CF card will get me through a 2 or 3 hour show with better than 3500 raw shots (no video).
