Good morning from a 64F and sunny Shoreline. Will be going up over 90F in the area, but where we are should only get up to around 82F. That's bearable. Got up to 88F here yesterday, which isn't bad compared to those who were up around 93-95F. No plans again today, so will see what comes along and get on with the knitting at some point. I hope you all are staying safe and well. xxxooo

It was 95F here today but there was a lovely breeze. The Country music festival is happening this weekend, still can't understand why people would risk being this close together with the newest variant picking up.

I went in to see Karen, she is going away to the commonwealth games for 10days tomorrow. Brie the dog 🐶 is going to her uncle David’s she is not a happy girl 👧. Karen is not a happy mammy because she doesn’t like leaving the dog 🐶 so theirs is not a happy house. I’ve got me a steak pie 🥧 for my tea and I’m really peckish.

I’ve been to Wendy’s this afternoon and did some good chatting, you wonder where we get it from. She’s got a poorly eye 👁 now , another something. She’s waiting for ointment. I had a little word with Cassie and showed her what we found on Sunday. She was fine, she says oh I never thought, 😣 sorry. I can’t help but like her. Anyway she did a very good job of cleaning this morning, I was well pleased. Sometimes we all just get into a rut.

I hope you are all well and those of you that aren’t I’m sending tight hugs, unles it’s jinx and I won’t hurt 😔 her elbow, I’ll be more gentle. Love yawl, stay safe. Xx

Yuck! Glad you have had a breeze. Where we are it's at 84°F. Not too uncomfortable. Most areas around us are in the low to mid 90sF. Glad we're not that warm. Stay as cool as you can. I'm with you on trying to understand why people would attend events like that. Not me!!! xxxooo

Hi Polly, I hope you have some better times from now on, and it is good to see you back on here. I hope your dog isn't too sick, and gets well again! xoxoxo

Thank you. I’m glad you all are still here. The vet wants to do more tests and I know they are necessary but sorry to put her through them. I need to catch up on what’s happening here. Hope all is well with you.

I'm sorry that you have been having a bad time. Hopefully you will all start to get better soon.
The garden tools could probably still be put in that leaky shed, just not directly under the hole in the roof.
Enjoy the dinner tonight.

I was thinking I’d put them in plastic bags to stay dry. Don’t know if cold winter would be bad for them. Also it’s a long walk to the shed and I’ve bad knee pain so try to limit my steps. They tell me to exercise to help the knees but when it hurts I avoid steps.
We had a nice group for dinner. Not the 12 only 8 but very good conversation. I had baked haddock with aeoli sauce over rice with mixed veg and Manhattan chowder. Wanted steamed clams but they ran out. Only fun I’ve had in a long time.

Good morning all from a sunny-ish Norfolk although it's clouding over a bit, high of 23C today so nice and pleasant. Fence man is back but seems to be without his sidekick today though he might be back at the yard loading our fencing onto the lorry, says she hopefully. Nothing else planned for the day so knitting here I come. Have a good and safe day. xx

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:44 am EDT and 19'C (66'F) going up to 33'C (91'F). Humidity is 98% and there is a haze in the sky. Thunderstorms are forecast and I can believe that as it is super still outside.
The National Backyard Blitz is on. For 5 days the Nature Conservancy of Canada is asking people to go into their backyard and take pictures of plants, birds, animals, insects and fungi and upload it to their site. This program has helped with wildlife counts and has helped determine where more fencing is needed to protect wildlife from highways. Last year someone found a herd of Asian Wild Boars roaming in Pickering just east of Toronto. Birds normally in the Caribbean have also been found, blown off course by storms.
We barbequed chicken last night. DD must have put too much oil on the chicken because we had a huge fire in the bottom pan of the barbeque. We just turned everything off and let it burn.
I finally finished the rib cuff on my speckled socks. And put them on. The foot fits lovely. The ankle area is TOO TOO tight, making it hard to get the sock on. I have a high instep and flat wide feet. I usually add stitches to the instep of socks that I knit and decrease them out after I have finished the heel, but I couldn't with this set because of the patterning. So now I'm hoping that they will stretch a bit with blocking (not likely) or I need to figure out some way to take out the cuff and leg and add some stitches in there. I DID go up a needle size when I was doing the leg. I think without that I wouldn't be able to get them on at all.

It sounds like this will be drawn out without his sidekick. Unless he can lift all the fencing by himself?
Enjoy your day knitting.

We have some garden tools in our shed and some hanging on the walls of our garage. It depends on whether they are mouse proof or not. The shed has mice. Our shed and garage is not heated. Our lawn mowers get fuel stabilizers put into them before they are put in the shed for the winter. Our lawnmowers are metal decked. So far the mice have not chewed the single wire on the lawnnmowers. They did chew one of the pull cords. The whippersnipper/weed whacker hangs in the garage because it has plastic parts that the mice have chewed in the past. My row cover and screening for the garden are put into tubs that are stored in the shed (don't have room for them in the garage) The plastic rakes hang in the garage as do our snow shovels (all plastic). The metal hoes and shovels and hand tools are in the shed.
That's too bad that they ran out of steamed clams. I'm glad that you had a good time.

I hope the tests tell you something that will help.
All the tests that were run on Smokey-mama cat told me that I have a very healthy cat for an old girl. (She has behavioural issues, not physical ones.)

Breezes off the coast help. We are just far enough from Lake Ontario not to get the breezes/winds. I miss the winds.
I hope you stay cool.

The pandemic is over, don't you know.
And now they are saying that the monkeypox may be spreading by something other than touch.
The Canadian National Exhibition is on in Toronto in 2 weeks after a 2 year hiatus. The TV people are saying that they expect it to be packed wall to wall. (I won't be there!) I still wait outside yarn stores if there are too many people inside.
I hope that breeze continues for you.

The best tea I've ever tasted is Yorkshire Tea and my second runner up is Twining's Earl Grey! xoxo

I agree with you. Although I like to turn my Earl Grey into a London Fog with lots of froth on top. It goes down so quickly!!!
Mum drinks Red Rose tea, but she dunks the tea bag in and pulls it out so quickly (after squishing it into submission) that I'm sure that doesn't help with the taste. You have to just let the tea swim.

It is hard work on his own but it would help if he didn't keep disappearing, we're a bit too near his home when it comes to just slipping back there. Apparently his sidekick called in sick this morning, perhaps because there were two post holes to dig manually. xx
