My right eye is fine though not good with close work. The left eye needs doing now, and my brain is struggling with the changes. Apparently it can take 12 weeks for the brain to catch up. The computer is hard on both eyes, so I've not been on much. I wish I could have had both done at once like Josephine.

I am also waiting for my left eye to be done, it is beginning to affect my sight, in the same way my right eye did, before it was done. I hope we both get our left eyes done very soon! xoxoxo

There's nobody been in touch with me about the cleaning firm I rang on Monday. I was given to believe that the cleaning lady would ring me and organise a meeting. This was Monday morning. It's Wednesday afternoon and nothing has happened. My friend Jane gave me a number for someone called Michelle in loftus. I've had it on good authority that she's good, and very trustworthy, so I rang her number. We had a little chat and she is coming for a chat on Monday, and we will see if it's what we both want.fingers crossed.

I've had coffee with Margaret and a bit chat and that's about it again today. We can have a hug next week. And we will.....she's a great friend but we wind each other up. Hahah. My iPad is acting up a bit lately. My tum has settled right down, so I've been careful today. Love yawl...going to jigsaw

It's a good thing that my family has never been the hugging type. We've been able to weather the pandemic without hugs.

We are just the opposite. Everyone of us need hugs from ourselves. Even little Ted likes a cuddle.

Glad you ar laughing. Don’t know what dry as sticks means.

Somebody is bound to have answered, but dry humour is well-thought-out and not reliant on lewd or cheap jibes.

Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around, I've no idea how you all are, I've got far behind with my reading...last time I came on was end of April. I've been plodding along, went for my 2nd jab this morning and knitting my mitred square blanket this afternoon...finished all the squares, now putting an i-cord edge on to finish it off.

Welcome back Rebecca xx

Thanks for you reply. No one had ever mentioned monthly national insurance payments. Good those payments stop when you are 65 and you still receive free treatment.

Google William Beveridge, my hero. He propounded the welfare state in Britain.

It's great that you have the confidence to do that. And can see where the pattern is supposed to go.
Some of the people at my LYS have been knitting for years and will still only follow patterns with the exact yarn (even the same colour) so the pattern turns out like the picture. They really can't imagine it any other way.

Well I don’t know about that I just did what I thought looked right the result doesn’t look much like the pattern so I guess I winged it wrong.....who knows
