I just got a video of my greatgrandson's graduation ceremony from kindergarten. He got the award for sharing the best fun facts. His parents had to laugh at that award. They looked at each other and said he won the award thanks to greatgrandma. I am always giving him what I think are interesting facts about animals. Guess he found them interesting if he was repeating them in school.
His biological parents were in attendance. They confused the teachers. Seems it was the first time a divorced couple came together to celebrate an accomplishment of their child.

Well done that little man and well done great grandma!! So glad his M & D were united there, to show they were proud of him! xxxx

Mav, your mum sounds a little like I was, as far as the kitchen is concerned; as I was apparently a girl, I had to do Home Economics at school; which did actually teach me some cooking skills that helped me keep my children fed! I was mostly outside with dad, and my older brother was usually in the kitchen with our mum ..... he also made her a chocolate birthday cake when he was 3, and mum had no idea about it, until it was almost cooked and the aroma was wafting through our house .... and now he is the one-armed "Chef" in his own home. I think he has always been the main cook in his home; I'm not sure how well his wife cooks; but I would take a guess at her not being as good a cook as he is! ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคจ

On to Right and Left handedness, I am mainly Right-handed and used to always only use my right hand. I actually began writing left-handed when I was 19, and it all began when I thought I had put my pen in my left pocket, instead of my right pocket. When I found the pen, I was finishing a note, at work, and one of my colleagues came along; and commented about me writing lefthanded, but being righthanded. Need I say that I was a little bemused about that; because I actually thought I was using my right hand ...... even when I checked my writing, it was almost exactly the same as it would have been, if I had been using the correct hand! This was when I discovered that I was actually Ambidextrous; and it seems that at least 4 of my dgd's are also Ambidextrous, and they are now practicing doing things with their left hand, instead of only using their right hand for everything.

Enough rambling, but being able to use both hands equally well, and there have been many instances, when it has been extremely useful, although some people have been quite confused, when I use both hands!๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฎ xoxoxo

I find I use my right hand for many things but my left for doing others, so not strictly ambidextrous, I just share out the chores evenly!! xxxx

In Australia, so far, there have been at least 8 people, in the over 50's, who have the Astra-Zeneca and also developed clots; and a couple of them also died. There is also only one vaccine, the AZ, that I am allowed to have, due to my age; and the under 50's have to have the Pfizer vaccination! This vaccination problem (for me), is the only time that I have ever been so worried about any Medical thing, and I might be fortunate enough, to be able to get my doctor to give me an exemption from having the Astra-Zeneca ..... I can only hope! xoxoxo

I wonder why they made that rule about age and the AZ over there? DH and I are older but were freely given Pfizer, as were many of my older friends! xxxx

June ..... your results could be totally different to your sisters' results! A pair of identical twins had their DNA done, and also assumed that their genetics would be identical; but there were many differences in their results. The areas will probably be the same, but the percentages might be totally different! Are you planning on having your DNA done? xoxoxo

No, I don't think so, I am who I am and it won't change anything. My sister had hers for her 70th birthday present, I'd rather have a nice gift voucher!!! xxxx

Good morning all from a sunny Norfolk hopefully it will last the day unlike yesterday when it started raining dinner time and continued for the rest of the day. Bit late this morning, been making another sausage casserole as the last one was consigned to the bin, it was so hot with chilli I'm sure they forgot to put the meat in and doubled the chilli. DH manfully got through most of his I gave up after 3 pieces but no way was he going to eat it the second day. No chilli in sight today. Nothing else planned for the day, our new oil tank is coming on Monday so that's something to look forward to Also put in a big order for meat from a farm shop we used to go to in the Lake District, including some wild boar, that's due next Friday, must sort my freezer out so it can all fit in. Have a great weekend. xx

Good afternoon from a bright and sunny London, 24'C here today!!

Yesterday's afternoon tea jaunt to London was not quite the success I had been hoping for, terrible weather, rained hard all the time I was outside!! The building we were in, the Royal Exchange, is a fabulous old building which used to be our Stock exchange, back in the day. They have used what used to be the bidding 'floor' as a beautiful, giant eating area. For those that don't know, Fortnum & Mason is a top of the tree purveyor of food and they have a few very spectacular shops selling just about everything consumable. The tea did not live up to expectations, dry scones, cool weak tea and our included Champagne turned out to be about an inch in the bottom of the glass!! However, it was nice to be out with DD and catch up on the chat! Some pics below, not mine!!

Having a restful day today, maybe a bit of sewing, as the lady who organises the charity knitting, has asked for drawstring bags for children in Ghana. They fill them with toiletries, pencils, crayons and other desirables and send them out to them.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Pre-social distancing, methinks!!

I got my appointment with Ear, Nose and Throat. Finally. Unfortunately it is on 21st, which is Hubby's birthday, and he is due in Crawley that day at an inquest. Everything is happening that day, plus it MAY be the day England re-opens.

Good morning from a gray, breezy and 54F Seattle area. Yesterday was lovely. Today we may bet a bit of rain. We apparently need all we can get. Nothing planned today, so will get on with my knitting. May do some vacuuming but we'll see. I hope you all are having a great day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo
